If there's anyone still around...

I'm moving back into Livejournal. Come friend me at my LJ. I have a lot of rearranging and redecorating to do, but I wanted to throw this message out there. Hello!

haiori

I'm not sure if I have ever posted into this community before, but I have avidly enjoyed reading all the stories since I've been a member for about - oh, 3 years now I think. I've noticed it is a little quiet these days though, and it makes me sort of sad. However, I know life goes on for most people though, an interests and fandoms change over time, but it would be lovely to see some more works done by the lovely authors here. I once did a Gemmy story a long time ago after emerging myself into all those on here - I never posted it, but I wish I had, because only a few weeks later, that computer crashed and I lost it all.

I was browsing through the Memories tag though, and was looking for a particular story - which I couldn't find. Though, there was one story (Suffacing) that is inaccesible, and I'm wondering if that might be the one I was looking for? I can't remember the name, but I loved it. It was a switch up between Emmy and Gerry where they weren't friends and behaved like the absolutely despised each other whilst filming and working together (though, it oviously the masked hatred, didn't last long as no Gemmy story ever does...or should). Does anyone know which one I'm talking about? If I remember rightly, it had a scene where they were trapped in an elevator together and Gerry kissed her in order to try and annoy her or something.

I'd really love to find it and re-read it again. Perhaps once my 4 years of severe writer's block dissapates, I might be able to contribute to something fresh here.

Hello everyone!

Long time no see... I hope everyone is doing well.  This post is meant as a housekeeping post of sorts since we've had a few questions recently.

1. If you would like to read stories, they can be found in the Memories tab at the top.

2.  Many of these entries are locked because of adult content.  You must request to be added as a member of this group.  You will be approved if your account seems legit--we've had some spam accounts set up that I've seen and not approved.

3. If you would like to post anything, please do so.  As you can see, the activity came to a grinding halt some time ago, but we're always accepting.  We've all gone several different directions since the height of the Gemmy days, but I for one am still very much in love with the pairing and would like to see new stuff if you have it to share.

4. If you read something you like, please comment if you have some time to spare.  We will see that you commented.  Authors love to see that people are reading, even if they're old stories!  Likewise, if someone comments on your works, please comment back if you have a moment.

5. If you ever have any questions, just let us know and we'll get back to you as soon as possible.  Thanks to the other mods who are answering when others cannot. :D

6. Most of all-- have FUN!!!

I have also purged all dead accounts from the members list.  If you see this and were removed mistakenly, please re-join.

I've been lurking around for awhile, read all the fics and now decided it's time to stop hiding. Does any one knows on some good sites or other good communties for more GerryEmmy fics?

And is this community still alive?

I'm sure we posted this before, but just in case, this interview is fun.

What was it like working with Gerard Butler in The Phantom?

Awesome! I mean, he is one of my best friends. I’m an only child, so he’s kind of like my big brother. I know that’s a huge letdown to a lot of fans that would like us to grow up and get married! You know, there are all these websites that are like, “Gemmy Forever!” They’ve kinda created us as a little Brangelina, and they’ll only be happy if we’re together… But we’re best friends, and it’s just funny to both of us.

He’s an incredible person; he’s a warm person; he’s the kind of person you can go to and trust. He’s loyal. He’s a great friend; he’s really funny -- one of the funniest people . And he tells the best jokes. I mean, he will tell a story in 10 different accents with the best punch line. Like, it’ll be a 20-minute joke and you’ll be dying laughing -- jokes that I would try and tell, and could never pull off! He’s just incredible that way. And he’s just a lovely human being.

So she knows about the phenomenon of Gemmy (a term, I would like to point out, was created in large part by our very own glitterdragon)... but it's nice to know that she's okay with it.

And Emmy, if you're reading, we'll be happy with whoever you're with so long as you are happy in the relationship.  Same goes for Gerry.  We just want you two be happy and have long, successful careers... even if it's not together. *winks*
