These plunderers of the Earth
have now invaded the seas
because after having devestated everything
they now have no more land.

If their enemy is wealthy, they are greedy
If he is poor they will be after glory
This race to whom neither east or west is home.

Alone among peoples they have preyed with equal greed
upon rich and poor alike.
Stealing, murdering, plundering they call government
and where they've created the desert
they dare to call it peace.





The Free, Accepted, Independent, Autogestioned and Real Republic of Utopia (Utopian: Libera, Acceptata, Independens, Autogesta et Real Republika de Utopia) is a no borders, free global virtual island country, existing simply by the will of those who believe and rely in it. Surrounded by all sides by the sea of Panthalassa, has Freedonia to the east, the Seven Cities of Cibola to the west, Hic Sunt Leones to the South, and the North Pole to the North. Despite its virtual nature, its existence was documented first by Saint Thomas More as early as 1516, and carried and made alive by great minds (such as Camões, Theodoros Deodato, Francesco Patrizi, Antonio Francesco Doni, Etienne de la Boétie, Lodovico Agostini, P. Giovanni Pietro Maffei, Voltaire and in the XXth century, the whole Dada & Surrealist movement, as well as Antonin Artaud) over the last few centuries. Utopia plays an undeniably relevant role in safeguarding free souls and releasing inner tensions of Humanity, being, in ultimate analysis, the Mother of all Revolutions, Highest muse to every artist, and Endless source of dreams.

For the foreigner to KNOW Utopia, they have to call forth from their souls not only a place, a mere country, but a life, a future, something possible, undaunted, against every institution yet possible to make real. For this to happen, visitors can become citizens of Utopia, but those who take stand for Utopia being something impossible, the Republic of Utopia has made available the TransUtopian train that will deliver them at the shores of Panthalassa and invited on a boat trip to Hic Sunt Leones, to where unbelievers are deported in totally dignified conditions, to spend some time among the lions, for them to see how wrong they are and that Utopia is, indeed, true, real and possible.

The Utopian National Day is June 22, date of departure from this world of our patron Saint Thomas More, and the celebration consists in wild freak out party for everyone and the mass burning of makeshift straw dummies representing Pope Paul III and his cardinals, who condemned Saint Thomas More to death in 1535.

Everyone can join and live free in Utopia, and if requested, will be given citizenship, becoming a real Utopian. It's the only country where cats can be Ministers of something, and where the President is Kurt "Sedna" Polka, a virago with a penchant for pyromania. Most of all, Utopia belongs to Those Who Love Utopia. Welcome all.
