Your industrial drones collect data. Percepto wants AI to make it count

percepto axion drone inspection AI

Industrial drone inspections have a data problem. Drones can capture detailed images of miles of power lines, sprawling oil and gas facilities, and hard-to-reach industrial equipment. But someone still has to sift through all that footage, identify potential problems, and decide which ones need attention first.

Percepto wants to change that equation with Axion, a new software platform that brings AI-powered inspection analysis to existing drone fleets, sensors, and inspection records. The big difference? Companies don’t have to buy Percepto hardware to use it.

Airwise and LiveU want to fix fragmented public safety drone workflows

public safety drone software airwise liveu

Public safety agencies increasingly rely on drones for everything from fire response to search-and-rescue missions. But getting a drone into the air is only part of the challenge. Agencies also need to manage pilots and fleets, stay on top of airspace requirements, and make sure live video reaches the right people without delay.

Drone pilots can now analyze crashes and count crowds with SkyeBrowse app

SkyeBrowse dji rc pro crowd count AI

A drone can capture an entire crash scene or a packed event in seconds. Now, AI is getting better at telling crews what they’re looking at. SkyeBrowse has rolled out two new AI-powered workflows: Crush Analysis and Claims, designed for vehicle crash investigations and insurance work, and Crowd Counter, which can estimate the number of people visible in an aerial image. The latter is now available directly through the DJI RC Pro for enterprise drone operations.

Airwise adds another Remote ID partner to its airspace platform

airwise remote id UAS Sentry

Drone operators aren’t the only ones who need to know what’s flying nearby. Airports, utilities, energy companies and critical infrastructure operators also need visibility into drones operating around their facilities. That’s the focus of a new partnership between Airwise Solutions and UAS Sentry, which aims to combine drone detection with a broader view of low-altitude airspace.

AirData brings DVR-style rewind to drone live streaming

airdata live drone video rewind

As drone operations become increasingly remote, it’s not always possible for every decision-maker to be watching a live video feed the moment something important happens. AirData is aiming to solve that problem with a major upgrade to its live streaming platform, introducing cloud recording and a DVR-style rewind feature that lets authorized viewers jump back up to 10 minutes without interrupting an active mission.

Advanced drone sensors now closer to Canada’s critical industries

dji matrice 400 drone zenmuse l3 lidar payload firmware update

Industrial drones have become far more than flying cameras. Today, they’re carrying sophisticated sensors capable of mapping underground utilities, detecting methane leaks, measuring underwater terrain, and even identifying mineral deposits. But getting those specialized payloads, and the technical support needed to use them effectively, has often been a challenge. That’s what SPH Engineering hopes to change.

Dual batteries give A2Z’s new delivery drone an edge

a2z Longtail Dual delivery patrol drone

Commercial drone operations are getting more ambitious. Instead of short flights over empty fields, companies increasingly want drones that can deliver packages across cities, inspect infrastructure miles away, or help first responders without requiring a pilot to keep the aircraft in sight. That shift is exactly what A2Z Drone Delivery is targeting with its newest aircraft.
