This is a submission for Frontend Challenge - Halloween Edition, Perfect Landing
🔥 What I Built
For this Dev.to Frontend Challenge, I built a responsive Halloween landing page called Halloween Party 2025, a spooky, atmospheric, and mobile-friendly website that promotes an imaginary Halloween event.
The goal was to create something fun yet professional, where design, responsiveness, and performance optimization come together for an immersive user experience.
It’s built entirely with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, without any frameworks, just pure frontend craftsmanship 👻

- Fully responsive design using CSS media queries for all screen sizes
- A cinematic hero section with layered backgrounds and glowing effects
- Locations showcase for haunted party venues
- Reservation and pricing section with animated CTA buttons
- Mobile-friendly navigation menu built with vanilla JavaScript
- Optimized background images and lazy loading for faster performance
- Performance optimization with lightweight code and reusable CSS variables

👩🏻💻 Journey
I started this project wanting to combine creativity and precision. I aimed for a page that feels like a real Halloween invitation while following modern frontend standards.
Some highlights from the journey:
- Experimented with gradient overlays and responsive background scaling for a cinematic hero look.
- Focused on flexbox and media queries to achieve a fully responsive layout.
- Implemented a mobile-friendly navigation toggle with smooth open/close animations using JavaScript.
- Carefully tuned typography, scaling, and spacing for a polished, professional feel.
This project was a great exercise in frontend challenge design, pushing me to balance creativity with real-world performance optimization

- Clean CSS variables for maintainability and scalability
🧡 Reflections
This challenge reminded me that frontend development is equal parts art and engineering.
Creating a visually stunning yet mobile-friendly landing page required both creativity and attention to technical detail.
Balancing spooky aesthetics with usability and performance was the most rewarding part.
