29th-Mar-2008 12:07 am - work is stressful

I changed my screen name because I'm  a little paranoid.  So you may have read other posts by me under a different screen name.

I like how quickly I could join up to Crazy Meds.  That's good.

So here's my thing.  I have been having issues at work.  I work in an office processing applications into a computer.  My boss wants me to do more applications than I can humanly do in a day.  When he comes around my desk, he makes these demands.  And I react by thinking that I can't do it, it's hopeless, etc.  I have bad thoughts.  The stress from work makes me have very bad thoughts.  Stress also triggers other symptoms that I have.

What can I do during my work day to stop having my bad thoughts when I'm stressed out?

How can I respond to this situation at work?

What is a new and better way to respond to this situation at work, instead of dwelling on bad thoughts?

Any comments or suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Fire - phoenix flame
Help, folks...
I've come off of seroquel, cold turkey. Stopping from 600mg/once daily.
Unfortunately, I've had no choice in this (ran out of meds, can't afford more, have no way to get samples or anything temporary, insurance doesn't kick in until April).... fortunately, it's temporary.

I'm feeling the anxiety, the general unrest, the shakes, the shivers, the constant cold, the sleeplessness, the wanting to jump out of my skin, I've grown somewhat pale, I feel like I've got the flu (only without the aches and pains), etc...
I'm on day four.

For the love of all that is holy, please give me some coping ideas.

Here's what I'm doing to help...

25mg Benadryl, every 2 hours I'm awake.
100mg Benadryl at bedtime, with 50mg supplement if I wake up at night (which I always do).
Tylenol rapid release, as needed, to help with headache.

Tonight I'll be getting some "Calms Forte", which will help with sleep and anxiety and the general "nrrrggghhh!" feelings.

If you can think of anything else (anything at all) that will help, PLEASE let me know.

I've not been off of seroquel at all for over 2 years.

(Please do not tell me I need to get some and get back on it. I know that. I'm waiting on my records from my old (government) doctor in Georgia (I'm now in Texas). Once I get those, I can go to the NPC emergent intake here in Houston, and present with records and - hopefully - get some to tide me over. That'll be next weekend, at least. I have seven days to deal with this. I know I need to get back on the meds. I know it can be dangerous. Tell me useful things, please, not stuff I already know.)

I'm running out of buspar (no refills) in the next few days, too.. that should be a lot of fun. I'm tapering on that, though. thankfully.

Thanks!
