Okay, I have a DUMB question, but I thought it would be easier to ask you guys than to spend $2 a minute to ask the visa office or an hour reading the fine print.
I ended up having to mail in my visa application since there were no more in-person appointments left in New York City. Well, I got my visa in the mail today, and it is a yellowish card inside my passport. The only other thing in the packet was the forms I'd sent to them. The visa is just the "entry clearance" thing in my passport, there are no extra forms or anything that they forgot to send me, right? I guess I thought that the visa was a separate card or something. So it's only a passport insert? I was also ticked off cause the woman on the phone said I needed to send a transcript so I drove an hour and a half to my undergraduate college each way to pick up a student sealed transcript, and they sent it back to me unopened. Bah. :P
I was also wondering if any of you had prescriptions written in the U.S. and got them successfully filled in the U.K. I have an appt. with my doctor but can't get the prescription filled till I'm already there and it would suck to go without my medicine for like a week.
Thanks for your help. :)
