Odd British political couple David Cameron and Nick Clegg say marriage will last...

...because Clameron and the spirit of their coalition, for me - and for many perhaps - opened my eyes to politics, and all the inherently funny (and slashy) powerplays at work in Government!

NOTE: Many of us posting on the comm *do* have strong politicial feelings, for one party or the other. Coalitionslash isn't the place to beat up other users over their political preferences - and anybody who does so via their comments will be kicked out.

Edit: (as of 22/10/10)- Decision taken to introduce moderated or closed membership to the comm after a spam post the comm could have been without. If you wish to join now, either myself or one of the co-mods will have a quick glance through your LJ (only to make sure you are actually human and/or not someone about to spam the comm) before either approving your membership or rejecting the request.

If you are sincerely interested in slash of the political variety - you will be let in, no questions asked.

Welcome to COALITIONSLASH

We're open for caption contests / fanfics / fanvids / fanarts / macros / manips / icons / anything of an arty nature here!

Plus we have weekend squees in development for readers to... well squee over anything happening in the lolitical world recently! Feel free to bring along your favourite fics from the meme!

We accept all pairings, slash and femslash, whether they fall under the 'coalition' or not. So Burnballs, Putin/Sarkozy, CLucas/Bruni are all welcome, alongside whatever the Tory boys offer us!

Just no het please (yes, I like Miline too - but we're slashy here! :P)

But above all things - get your frocks on and go crazy! :P

This "old" comm was rebooted, in an effort to remove some of the more overtly slashy material from uk_lolitics. Which was starting to trouble some users who weren't comfortable with it. I'm not suggesting you stop posting your artwork there, only giving you another option if you feel the slash content in your work is getting a bit too high. (This is all related to the panic that came of the SBercow! incident, as I recall).
