Welcome to the final 2012 Kink-a-Thon! This is an event during which we stop posting new prompts to the Kink Meme, but encourage the posting of new fills and comments to existing fills. Feel free to make yourself at home in the Chat Thread and spam gifs, troll characters and just revel in silliness to your heart's content!

The event will run from the beginning of Friday December 14th through the end of Sunday December 16th, UTC/GMT time. (If you want to pre-game the kink-a-thon by partying in the Chat Thread or posting a new fill in the Kink Meme, that is 100% okay. In fact those are things you can do year-round, kink-a-thon or no. XD)

4:00pm on Thu 12/13 in San Francisco
7:00pm on Thu 12/13 in New York
12:00am on Fri 12/14 in London <-- UTC/GMT time
1:00am on Fri 12/14 in Paris
8:00am on Fri 12/14 in Perth
9:00am on Fri 12/14 in Tokyo
11:00am on Fri 12/14 in Sydney

I am posting this a wee bit early because the actual opening time overlaps a tiny bit with my work hours, and I'm not entirely certain I'll be able to sneak away to post this immediately after work. I will officially open and close the event by posting little notices in the Kink Meme, but again, you don't have to wait for me in order to begin the party. ^_^

What is a summer fling?

• Well while the name is made up, it's basically a mini version of the kink-a-thon. You find a prompt and just post a short fill for it. It doesn't have to be a novel or even 1,000 words.
• I will also be putting up a thread or an entirely new post for another round of 'hottest thing in 50 words or less' ( this may be changed)
• There are a lot of old fills gathering dust here and I'm sure the anons out there would love to see anything for them.
• It will be held over a weekend, in which there would be no posting new prompts so we can focus on drabbles.

Remember there will be no posting of new prompts.

And if you're going to post new things here, please label them! It makes it easier for us mods. :D

So go and post your small drabbles, fills, etc!

Join us here!

• Free account creation is still live at Dreamwidth. If you haven't already, now's a great time to make an account for free.
• At Dreamwidth, you can post a comment of up to 16,000 characters instead of just 4,300 characters, so long fills won't need to be chopped up into so many pieces!
• All prompts and fills from the original kink-meme have been imported to the Dreamwidth site, so we have not lost any of the meme's content. Most of the Filled/Unfilled links have been updated already and we are working to update all of the remaining links.

You can create a free account at Dreamwidth, or you can log in with your LiveJournal ID. Anonymous posting is available at the kink-meme regardless of how you're logged in. When posting, just click on the "More Options" button to be able to choose to post as Anonymous.

The LiveJournal site will remain open as well for the time being. Happy kinking!

Prompts with * are special small fills that are apart of a new idea thread for the comm. (This doesn't mean that all fills from now on are suppose to be small, just those in the specific thread.)

For those who don't know WIP=Work In Progress and is for any prompt that isn't complete. If you see a prompt not complete and that doesn't have WIP on it, and I know there's probably a few I didn't get, please send me a PM with links.

This is the unfilled requests page for pairings that begin with A-V. This will be constantly changing as the days go on. Pairings have been listed in no real order aside from frequency of characters used and it makes things easier for us to keep track of (i.e. why Fai/Kurogane isn't listed but Kurogane/Fai is).

This is up to date as of 07-09-12. Your meme owner and I will be keeping this updated as best we can, so if you don't see something of yours on here or the filled section, give us some time to catch up.

Prompts with * are special small fills (drabbles and flash fiction) that are apart of a new idea for the community.
