On air:
Panel Borders: Comic Book Caption(s) Starting a month of shows about comic book shops, we have three interviews recorded at Oxford’s small press comics convention ‘Caption’. Also, 2000AD artist P.J. Holden is interviewed by comics journalist Matt Badham, about the shops he frequented while growing up in Belfast.

Here's the striking design for this years Caption t-shirt by tozocomic (David O'Connell).
To comply with our austerity theme we will shortly be asking for pre-orders or expressions of interest from those who would like a t-shirt, so that we only print as many as needed.
3/21/11 02:46 pm
Caption is the longest running comic convention in the UK, and we celebrate small press and indie press comics.
This year's theme is Austerity, as we thought this might be appropriate to the current climate in the UK! So, this could cover anything from the cheapest way to produce comics, to comics about self-sufficiency/grow your own, to revolutionary thoughts caused by austerity... however you want to interpret the theme.
I you have any ideas for things you'd like to see at Austerity Caption, or would like to be involved, then just let us know.
As usual we won't be having dealer/exhibitor tables, but will instead run the Caption table. This allows you to drop off your comics, we'll sell them for you for a 10% fee of anything sold, while you enjoy the rest of the con... or just sit in the bar!
More news on guests, workshops & panels will be added as we confirm items.
Attendance fee is £5 a day (to be confirmed), or you can volunteer to be a gopher during the weekend for free entry.

We're pleased to announce that the DINO-SAW-US sticker game (as seen at the UK Web & Mini-Comix Thing & the MCM Expo) will be joining us at Caption: http://dinosawus.blogspot.com/
DINO-SAW-US is an awesome sticker collector game that will next be played at Caption Convention 2010!
As Caption is a convention that has a communal stall rather than separate artist stalls we have changed the game slightly...
Artists and Collectors- to be involved simply come along to Caption on 31st August/1st July and visit the Dino-Saw-Us area. Your Caption guide will contain your collectible sticker passport page. We will be there armed with blank stickers to draw and swap with other people. We will also have a limited number of specially printed Caption stickers! Draw a sticker and swap this for a sticker by another artist/collector and if you collect ten or more you will get a prize! Those who already have Moo stickers can bring those along too.
It's fun! And cool. And maybe you'll make some new friends.

We're also very excited to hear that the final part of Paul Rainey's long comic project "There's No Time Like the Present" will be launching at Caption. If you're not already reading There's No Time Like the Present, why not? Find out more and read the first 39 pages for free at http://www.pbrainey.com/tntltp.htm
We're just finalising the timetable for the weekend and will release that in the next few days.
Tickets will be available on the door: £5 per day/£10 for weekend. I'm afraid we don't offer concessions, as we feel the door price is very reasonable.
