Camp Trans is:
*Trans-centric, especially trans woman centered
*An amazing bunch of trans folks and trans allies
*An incredibly cool venue for Trans performers and allies
*The Midwest's #1 activist training for trans activism
*A weeklong getaway in the woods of central Michigan
*A really cool party
*A co-operative and collaborative effort
*Feminist in a way that values All Women-no exceptions
*Anti-racist, anti-sexist, anti-classist, at least we try to be
*A Trans Bi Lesbian Queer and Gay friendly space
*Paid for entirely by donations and fundraising
*A weeklong source of free vegan food for our participants
*An activist effort to open the Michigan Womyn's Music Festival to all womyn
*Very changeable- CT recreates itself in new ways every year
This LJ exists for supporters to discuss Camp Trans and work together to make CT an even better space. Disrespect and/or prejudice may result in warnings and or removal from the group at the discretion of the moderators. Official announcments from Camp Trans organizers may be posted on this group from time to time and will be clearly labeled as such. Other posts are encouraged, but do not necessarily represent Camp Trans or the current organizers.
