Hello!
I've started collecting and trading scout camp patches!
Please check out my page dedicated to this hobby, it would really make my day. I have a list of patches I currently own, as well as patches I am trading if anyone is interested. While I focus mostly on camp patches, I'd trade for council and event patches too. Take a look! |

So, I'm walking around my office and I have this song stuck in my head, but the words weren't coming up with it, and I'm just humming it as I do my stuff. Then I realized that it's the Rose, Rose round that I learned in Girl Scouts.
Rose, Rose, Rose, Rose
Shall I ever see thee wed?
I shall marry at thy will, sire,
At thy will.
It seems like there's a few different versions of this song, or maybe just more verses. Are you guys familiar with it? What version do you know? |

Lost my song book or rather it was more likely thrown away when I had to move. Which ever reason, I am devestated : (
I would like to ask your help so I can build a new one
I went to Camp Hidden Falls, Dingmans Ferry, Pa. From 1975-1985
I would prefer songs from that camp or era. But any and all are welcome..
Thank you so much!!!! |

| Another Pirate camp song |

We are a bloody pirate band
The most ferocious in the land
We cut off arms and legs and feet
In order that we may eat meat
Raw meat!
Nightly we roam the Carib shore
That's where we spill our filthy gore
Slime! Bodies slithering in the deep
The lives of men are cheap
Most cheap! |

When I was 1!!! (the leader only)
I shot a gunI put my hair in a bunI was covered in rum! (everyone yells their own response that rhymes)
...the day I went to sea,
I climbed aboard a pirate ship and the captain said to me,
"We're going this way, that way, forward, backward, over the Irish sea,"
A 7-up to fill me up and That's the life for me!
When I was 2!!!
Didn't know what to doI swallowed my shoeMy cow went moo!
...the day I went to sea,
I climbed aboard a pirate ship and the captain said to me,
"We're going this way, that way, forward, backward, over the Irish sea,"
A 7-up to fill me up and That's the life for me!
When I was 3!!! (Etc.)

Does anyone know where I can find tunes to some slow camp songs? There's a lot of lyrics in my camp songbook that I like but don't know the tunes for. Some of these include:
Flicker
Canadian Wilderness
Christopher Robin
Daisies in the Sun
Human Touch
Ghost Riders
I'd love to learn the tunes for these so to expand my campfire repertoire.
