"Until a man is twenty-five, he still thinks, every so often, that under the right circumstances he could be the baddest motherfucker in the world. If I moved to a martial arts monastery in China and studied real hard for ten years. If my family was wiped out by Colombian drug dealers and I swore myself to revenge. If I got a fatal disease, had one year to live, devoted it to wiping out street crime. If I just dropped out and devoted my life to being bad." - Hiro Protagonist
Hello, Livejournal-land!
It has been many moons since we've communed in deep conversation and memes. I have not forgotten you, my first true blog-- I have simply moved on to better things. As much as you have good qualities (you're free, you are easy, and did I mention free? If you were a woman I'd marry you!), I need a bit more control over my blog. As such, I've graduated to Wordpress, and begun to throw away moneys on my own domain and hosting. Yes, this may come as a shock... Why pay for something you can get for free?
Well, if LJ starts offering plugins that allow me to update my twitter and facebook status every time I post a blog, and a way to embed my twitter feed in a handy column to the right of my entries, perhaps then I will reconsider my decision. You see, it's a compelling mixture of laziness and vanity. I suffer from the delusion that people care about what I have to say, and with so many virtual friends spread out over a vast landscape of interweb social networking sites, my wordpress plugins make it so easy to let everyone know what I'm thinking (which usually isn't much, I assure you)! I will miss my friends page, the pithy little icons that you all use, and the drama that always goes down in LJ communities, but it's time for me to move on.
Really it just comes down to the fact that I'm stupid with money, and thought that buying my own domain would be a good way to suck just *that* much more out of my bank account.
I won't be updating this LJ any more. All blogging is a form of intellectual masturbation, and I've chosen to *pay* for that privilege of self-love. Feel free to find out what the hell I'm doing with my life by going to my blog.

So I hit a pothole last night on 5th avenue. Not just any pothole, this was like the earth opened up and swallowed the fucking pavement. I am not exaggerating when I say this thing was at least 2-3 feet deep. Put a nice 2 inch dent in my rim, which is almost impossible to hammer back because it was right where the stem on my tire is. Fuckin great.
So I went out to take a look at it, just to make sure it wasn't flat... oh what's that nice piece of metal sticking out? Yes, that's right... a god damn nail is embedded in my tire.
What great luck I have. If this tire goes flat and I get stuck in Lancaster I will be PISSED.

Saw this in front of the North Campus Cup O' Joe... Props to Jeff for actually catching the sign, I probably could walk by it a million times and never notice.

So I'm in the airport, and they're announcing the current security level about every 10 minutes.
It's orange, for those of you who might not know.
And don't forget, BE AFRAID!
The real terrorism is $2.49 for a friggin bottle of water.

People like this give atheists and freethinkers a bad name. Even worse, his post really isn't even funny, or all that original.
While I do admit I tend to be a little harsh towards radical religious people of any persuasion, I don't see the need to be pointlessly combative with those who have semi-rational, moderate religious beliefs.

ok, so hiro is my hero, but this guy beats out the radioactive caveman.
Honestly I should probably just get a new tire (and another one on the front) as the tread is getting pretty low.
I want.
