Spirit Bound Press

All proceeds from this shop help fund our press.

We are a mission and a community-driven press dedicated to amplifying the voices of Latinx, Black, Indigenous, people of color, and marginalized underrepresented communities that have long been appropriated from and silenced by traditional publishing channels.

We understand that publishing writers who have genuine roots, cultures, practices, and experiences is not only essential but also crucial in disrupting cultural appropriation. Spirit Bound Press is committed to authenticity in the books we publish and honoring the voices of the communities we embrace and belong to. This commitment allows us to unveil our communities' sacred stories, wisdom, medicine, and magic. Together with our readers and creator community, we are actively reshaping the dominant narrative and forging a path toward an inclusive, diverse, and empowering literary environment.

We are passionate advocates for diversification in literature and publishing, striving to create an equitable press that truly represents the values and diversity of the authors and communities we serve. We honor antiracist, decolonial, and inclusive principles, ensuring that our publishing practices align with our commitment to empowering marginalized voices.
