Welcome to Bonus Weddings!

Entering into a bonus family is not easy. It takes a lot of work and a lot more love. The trials can be many, but the rewards are always worth the effort.

This space was created for anyone who is entering into a bonus family. It is a place for us to share experiences unique to our situation, get and give advice, and show off the details of our union celebrations.

And what is a bonus family you may ask? A bonus family is a new and better term for a blended or step family. Bonus family describes any partnership which involves children from a previous relationship.

But, of course, what's a community without rules? So here they are:

*Post an intoduction upon joining this community. We want to know who you are and what role you play in your bonus family and in your union.
*Be respectful of others when posting and commenting. It's ok to disagree but try to do it in a mature manner.
*Lurkers are welcome. Trolls are not. If you post or comment with the sole intention of causing trouble you may be banned.
*Please put large or multiple pictures behind an lj cut tag. One teaser picture may be left above the cut, but that's all.
*Please place lengthy posts behind an lj cut tag.
*Please keep posts on topic. This community is about bonus family unions. Please keep that in mind when posting.
*No drama. There are plenty of communities on livejournal that welcome drama. This is not one of them.
*If you have a question about entering a bonus family ask. You may get a better answer than you were hoping for.
*Post pics of what you're working on. And once your family becomes blended post pics of the celebration.
*This community is open to all persons who are entering into a bonus family. This includes, but is not limited to, poly, hetero, bi, same sex, and TG unions.
*Have fun.
