| Huey Newton a failure? |

Do you beleive that Huey Newton ultimately was a failure? I mean besides creating the Black Panthers, he did little. He spent most of the time in jail and couldn't do much for the movement. When he did get out, he soon became addicted to drugs and was even convicted to misusing funds for of all things an urban school! So do you think that Huey Newton did more harm than good? I tend to think so and I think Bobby Seale and Cleaver should get more credit than Newton does.

Hi, I decided to join this community at LJ, since I think the BPP carried on a great battle as an organization and as a voice for African Americans who "just werent gonna take it anymore". i admire them and their struggle with the FBI/CIA/USA.
I just founded a new community for all people who are descendants from the slave trade.

Ive seen this word in several interest lists at different communities, so I was like, why not?
Maybe it can be a legitimate term for a sort of nation community, sorta like indonesians, japan, mexicanosalgri, and aussies.
Come visit it, and please, this is my first time doing a community of any sort, so i need help and stuff.
