Check It Out - Theatre Arts Cherubs '05

Hey everyone! I don't know if anyone is even still watching this community, but just in case...

If you didn't already know, it seems our beloved Kate McKinnon is Saturday Night Live's newest cast member! You may remember her as the teacher of the solo performances class, the assistant teacher in Kate's core class, and the actress who performed as her original character "Samantha" on the teacher performance night ("I masturbate a lot"). Now she's appearing on national television alongside Kristin Wiig, Bill Hader, and Fred Armisen, among others. Huzzah for Kate!

If there's anyone still around on the interwebs, it'd be nice to hear what y'all are doing with yourselves these days, nearly seven (!) years down the road from Cherubs 2005. I graduated from Amherst College and am now holding down a boring nine-to-five job at a small nonprofit publishing company, plus doing occasional community theater (performing this Thursday in The Vagina Monologues, actually). It's all very low-key and uninteresting. What are you up to?

Hey everyone!!First, I hope everyone is doing well. I'm anxious to know everyones plans for next year, please let me know! I've officially decided to attend Purdue in fall. On April 28 I'm auditioning for one of Purdue's fall shows called "I stand before you naked" (interesting no?) It's by Joyce Carol Oates, has anyone ever heard of it? I'm having trouble finding the play, if have any info on it please let me know. All I know is that it's about these women, and they have all these monologues. Anyway, much love to everyone.

My show, "The Compleat Works of Wllm Shkspr (abridged)" by the Reduced Shakespeare Company, is in a couple of weeks, and I wanted to officially invite anyone who is nearby enough and capable of transportation to come. It's a really funny show, and I'd really like to see some of you again, and besides that we really need all the audience members we can get, as student-produced shows are something of a rarity at my school. But anyway, it's at San Domenico School in Marin County on March 3 and 4, at 7:30 p.m. You can view our lovely poster here, if I've got the HTML right, anyway. Tonight I started teching for "The Diary Of Anne Frank." It goes up in one week and stills needs alot of work, but it will be wonderful regardless. Today the cast list for "Mikido" went up and I will be in the chorus! Uber excited to finally be in a show after along time, has anyone ever even heard of "Mikido"? We perform on April 7 and 8, so I will be working on "Mikido" right after "Anne Frank" ahhh!
Anyway, I was thinking, it was so wonderful to see cherubs over New Years, so how about we plan another reunion this summer when more people might be able to make it? Until then, all the best to everyone! Hugs and kisses!

I have been feeling like I never do anything "physical" lately, so tonight I decided that I needed to start doing sun salutations (from Kate's core) again. (ok, so they were more "moon salutations", considering it's 10pm, but whatever.) anyway, like I said...I don't work out. I don't run. I don't do anything.
But tonight I did my sun salutations. And damn, it felt good. My heart was pounding, and my arms hurt, but it feels like I did something good.
So yay. I wanted to share.

Also..if anyone from George's core/Madwomen could remind me of the steps to the Arrow dance, I'd love you forever. I tried it the other day (since getting the slideshow I've been on a real missing cherubs spree), and it didn't fit with the music. I think I'm missing something.

So yeah..missing you all, and am sad I can't come to the reunion. Hope everyone has fun!

On Wed. in Chicago I had never been so frozen in my entire life! Lol, it was so hard driving into Chicago looking at Lake Michigan and knowing that Northwestern was right across the way (tear). Anyway, so the reason I'm posting is because the cherubs New Year reunion is coming and I'm looking so forward to it! I wanted to offer anyone who wanted to after New Year's day to come and stay with me for a while, I would love that, please let me know and we can make plans ;-D

I was so excited Saturday night when it snowed for the first time this season! It's truly starting to feel like the holiday season...ummm...random....lol, but anyway, how is everyone?? I miss you all, especially since we a nearing the New Years reunion, I can't wait to see everybody. I'm actually going to be in Chicago on Wednesday, Dec. 7, for a German field trip, we are going to the Christkindelmarkt, lol, isn't that the funniest name you ever heard? lol, ok well I thought it was.
