A place where TMNT fanfic writers interact as each others' beta readers, learn and improve
This community is a place where TMNT fanfiction writers can post work-in-progress or completed fic for incisive, in-depth constructive critism; and brainstorm plots, characters (original and canon) and ideas. Here's the catch - you the writers are also the beta-readers. :D
The idea is to approach the process of creating fan-fiction as sounding-boards, writers and editors of each others' work so that we can learn from each other and grow as fan-fic creators. This is NOT a feel-good place for squee and pats on the back. The object is to improve, so while flames (personal comments against the writer) will be moderated, we encourage honest, harsh criticism. If a story/idea sucks, people here will be willing to tell you that it sucks - and why - and suggest how to improve it.
This community is open to whatever TMNT fanfiction you write - original characters, het, slash, gen and turtlecest. We welcome fics of all ratings up to NC-17 - as long as your fic is clearly marked with pairings, genre and rating.
Readers have the right to refuse to read and comment on any type of fic they dislike - but if you post, you must be willing to comment on *some* other people's work.
Writers: If you're posting a book for feedback/concrit, you are kindly asked NOT to post the entire thing at once. Barring extenuating circumstances, please post only one chapter every other day so as not to overwhelm betas who may be trying to keep up. And remember, while you're writing, you should also be reading.
