My stomach is gone. It's... flat. *weeps in happiness* |

Hello everyone. It seems like we all must be too busy to post, but thats what the holidays are about right? This week I did not work out regularly, but I did end up getting quite a bit of exercise shoveling and shopping, which definitely counts--hahaha. I did make it to the gym yesterday and my goal for this week is to go 6 out of 7 days. I'm not traveling at all so this should be doable.
As far as eating, I was home for the weekend and so I ate out a lot and not so healthily, but I'm back on the wagon this week.
As far as keeping the stress down I am trying to keep my apartment pretty clean and clutter free. I also have started lighting candles and turning on the christmas lights when it gets dark out--makes the work a little more bearable
My goals for this week are:
1. Food: a. Keep a close tab on my calories and keep them within range b. Eat 3 servings of fruits or veggies a day
2. Exercise: a. Go to the gym 6 out of 7 days this week b. Stretch in the morning, before exercise, and before bed
3. Stress a. Keep the apartment clean b. Get to bed before 11
Hope everything is going well with you!
Good Luck! Current Mood: satisfied Current Music: Blue Eyes--Cary Brothers

It's been 2 weeks since I began my "restart diet". First week I lost 0.4 lbs, and this past week I lost 1 lb! Which is superb, considering I've been on a major plateau since June-ish. I haven't looked at my weight when I WI at weight watchers for a little over a month, so I'm not sure what I weight haha.. I will look when I am ready and feel great. My goal is to lose 10 lbs by January 1st. 1.4 down, 8.6 to go! The past 2 weeks I tried a new veggie and a new fruit.. I tried 3 types of squashes (MMMM! and so low in pts. I was definitely missing out!) and tangerines. I joined a gym last week and have been 5 times already. I also am taking a pilates class which is so much fun, you should go try it! My two newest loves are: http://www.precor-efx.com/cpr_efx.php and http://www.eatyourbest.com/products/product_results.aspx?Prod_ID=37 ;D Hope everyone else is doing well =) Whitney |

And I'm off to a terrible start!
Well, not entirely. My eating habits fluctuated from day to day, but NutriDiary has been helping loads. I've been eating loads of rice, oranges and ramen though, but at least I've stopped demolishing entire boxes of cookies, so my stomach is feeling a bit smaller (I think).
I'm excited to start doing exercise, because I just got some new weights. I'm a very weak person, so hopefully I'll be able to build something on my arms and legs so it's less flubby. My mom get this weird hula hoop thing that hurts a lot at first use, but I've gotten used to it. It's supposed to really help your stomach flatten, so I'm hoping that will work, but just in case I'm doing tons of crunches too.
Does anyone know some good butt and thigh exercises? My ass is at an abnormally large size in proportion to the rest of my body. I'm doing a lot of squats, but it's not helping much. :( |

I'm having a lot of fun with this challenge and I think its really helping me to make being healthy a priority in my life.
Currently I am using fitday.com to track my foods, exercise, and weight. It also has a journal function which I am finding very helpful as well. The basic program is free (this is the one I use) and I have found it so helpful and just wanted to suggest it to anyone who is interested!
Good luck!

i'm really excited to start.
if people are looking for ideas for exercises, shape magazine (opens in new window) has an index of the body parts and gives some exercise plans for those specific areas.

Im going to be cutting out ice crea, candy, and other excess sugars, and I wont be drinking soda at all. Empty calories=bad bad bad! 6) Work Out Plan: 1 to 2 hours at the gym every day, 7 days, and 100 crunches a day total, not necessarily in one setting. I'll also do 10-20 minuites of yoga everyday, usually in the evening. 7) Something to keep you going on those "not so easy" days of dieting? Thinking about all the nice clothes I can wear once Im thinner, and "thinspriational" pictures. Also, knowing how much better I'll feel about myself once Im thinner. 8) Your Weight Loss Reward? New clothes.
