What is something that is currently bringing you inspiration? Why? Bonus points for Pictures/sounds/excerpts/whatever!

Bird Feeders

Photobucket

These are rough prototypes to see how the birds get on with them. Next time definitely no glaze except, perhaps, the tray for easier cleaning. With a few wires it should be simple to get it to hang. Next post with a bird in there (perhaps).

Bonsai

Photobucket

My first attempt at growing a bonsai, out in the rain this morning.

I went through and updated tags on entries to make things easier to find, and added some new tags to the list! I *think* that right now everyone can tag their own entries, so if there is something that you wanted added to the list, let me or one of the other mods know. :)

And just to include something, I wanted to share one of my favorite photos that I took last summer at my grandparent's lake house in Maine. The fact that the picture came out nicely is a total fluke because I just have a regular point-and-shoot camera, but it's one that I love to look at.

:)
What to do on Thanksgiving when all your family is on the other side of the country?

Finish the biggest project of your knitting career, of course.

Hey Guys!

I'm really excited to get things going in here again. I have a couple of things up my sleeve that I'm pretty jazzed about, so I hope you guys will be too!

Starting soon, I'm going to be starting a collaboration project of a 2010 AMA calendar with various pieces of art, stories, and photos contributed by all of you that will be compiled into a .pdf format and be available for free download sometime in January. So start thinking about your submissions!

Some other things we're going to be starting soon are various writing challenges, and photo/art contests for which we will start a different theme each month and everyone can share their crafts, drabbles, dances, or whatever the theme inspires you to do.

Also, I'm proud to say that the ama_crafts community will be merging with us, so I'm happy to welcome your creations in any medium. :)

Comment here with your theme suggestions!

My Little Ponies and Propaganda Art

I am ecstatic!  and wanted to share with someone.
I have been playing with digital propaganda art lately and had some success getting a picture approved for print on a large scale. The city council allows artistic types to take over vacant buildings in an effort to beautify the city, I have an entire wall that is all my own, My india picture is going up in a month!
I also thought I would take this opportunity to share my customized My Little Pony as I got the idea straight off AMA offtopic about a month ago.

It's wonderful! Gosh, I miss ceramics. I wish I had access to a kiln so that I could make stuff again. I actually lettered in high school for ceramics!
