This is a Livejournal Community for anybody who lives in the North East of England or who is interested in the musical dynamic of the region.
In recent years the music scene in the North East of England has blossomed, and this Livejournal is for all those who have helped create it - whether they be in a band or just like to listen to good music.
Please use this journal to post anything at all to do with music, whether you're advertising gigs, looking for band members or trying to hitch a ride to that all important festival!
Play nice - don't be offensive to other posters and try to recognise that we all have different tastes and we should all appreciate diversity. The last thing we need is bickering amongst ourselves! Anonymous posters are welcome, so that those who dont have a LJ can post. However, please try to leave your name - don't be a coward!
One last point - please don't add any of the community members to your own LJ Friends lists without asking their permission. It isn't nice and it isn't fair on them. Aside from that, please post regularly if you can, and enjoy! :)
DISCLAIMER The opinions expressed by individual members of the community do not reflect those of the whole community. Furthermore, this community will not discriminate against those who are not from the North East area. Indeed you are free to join and make a valuable contribution to this journal. Please feel free to add tour dates / request support bands if you are not from this region.
All members who are not from this region or who do not have an interest in this region can post, but they must make sure their post relates to the music scene in the NORTH EAST OF ENGLAND. We have had a lot of American users advertising gigs in North East America. Sorry, but most of us can't afford to travel that far to see you play!! =P
