| About Afandomicontest |  afandomicontest is the icontest community designed to suit your particular taste. Have a day when you feel like make a Harry Potter icon but you're part of a Smallville icontest? Or do you want to make a Jason Issacs icon instead of Lord of the Rings? That's what afandomicontest is for. |
| Rules | 1. Icons must meet LJ specifications (no larger than 100x100 and no larger than 40Kb). 2. Submit icons in <*img src> tags (without the *). We'll host the icons to our own server so you don't have to worry about posting a link, and that way you can remain anonymous until winners are announced. 3. Do not use someone else's base. The only time you may use someone else's base is when we give it to you for a challenge. 4. Host the icon yourself. Do not ask another member or mod of this community to do it you. Get a free hosting account at Photobucket. 5. Icons must be appropriate for all ages. 6 If you like an icon that is submitted by someone and you would like to use it, wait until after voting is over and ask the maker. DO NOT take an icon from this contest without the creator's permission. 7. As long as there are a minimum of 4 members participating in a challenge, any given member will only be awarded the highest award one of their icons wins (i.e - a member's icons place 1st and third in the polls...this member will only receive fist place, leaving third place open for another member). This is to encourage diversity in the winners and to hopefully recognize some of the icon-makers that may otherwise go unnoticed. 8. HAVE FUN!!! |
| Timeline | 1. Challenges will be set on Tuesdays. 2. Challenges will be due on Saturday and the Poll will be set up Sunday morning. 3. Winners will be announced Tuesday morning, unless there are ties, and Banners will be posted as soon as possible. (we do all have lives, you know ;)) 4. Late entries will not be accepted. |
