Seeking folks to peek in on me and reply periodically
Back in the day I posted on LJ all the time, multiple times a day, but that's not so much the case anymore. These days I barely post to me own journal more than once a month, but I keep intending (and failing) to change that.

Fact is I post to my communities more than my own LJ; in more busy times I was the admin for 100 communities... and they all stilll exist, but like with everything else they're not as active as they used to be.

Why do I stick with livejournal? Mainly because I have a permanent account, but also this place just really works for me on certain levels.

Mostly looking for those that post in English, but browsers do have translators in them so there are no absolutes on that. Be somewhat crazy... every little bit helps.

Rush Job
Been meaning to post this a few weeks but keep not, which fits my LJ habits in general the last few years.

I've been on LJ close to a couple decades, on some account or other, and while I used to post to communities and my journal an insane amount of the time daily... nowadays it generally more like monthy, and even then mostly to my own stuff.

Said stuff being my communities, I used to maintain about 100 of them and while they're not at all active anymore... they're still there.

Got a Twitter. I'm a twit. What I post to my journal doesn't goto it, because what gets tweeted goes to my journal. Handy way for others to see what I'm doing in my communities that friended me but haven't joined them.

Anybody welcome to friend me. I'll probably friend you back at some point... gives me some more people to reply to.

Hello everyone!
I need some new LJ friends. I started using LJ back in 2001, but I haven't been very active here in a few years. I'm trying to become more active here again, because quite frankly, I always felt that LJ was far superior to any other social networking site out there. And none of my LJ friends from the early years post anymore. Matter of fact, there are ZERO posts on my "friends page", and that is realy sad. :(

Anyway, my name is Ricky. I live in Oklahoma City. I'm 33. I'm the vocalist of a brutal death metal band. I'm a follower of Christ and I try to be true to my faith to the best of my ability (there's far too many "Christians" out there who give Christ a bad name by spewing hate, rather than showing the love of Christ... I try to avoid being one of those hateful people who misrepresent what my God is all about). I was a DJ for a radio station here in OKC for 5 years. I also had my own online radio show for 3 years. I own my own record label. I'm rooted in metal, but I listen to a lot of different things except for country, rap, hip hop, r&b, and pop. I hate that crap. I listen to a lot of goth/industrial music. I LOVE classical music. I like a lot of celtic music. New Age music is awesome! And I'm a sucker for 80's music. As you can tell, music is my passion. I love horror movies and sci-fi movies. Love going to shows. Love playing shows more. And I'm sure there's more, but that's all I can think of at the moment.

Hey everyone!

I'm a returning LJ user from about 10 years ago. I can't even remember my old username it's been that long ago. (despite the paid accounts, LJ tokens, bullshit etc.) I decided to come back here after feeling like I might be too expressive for Facebook and it's design. Also some of the things I want to say are thoughts and topics I don't want my coworkers and family reading.

A little about me. I'm 30, straight male and live in southern CA. I'm into so many different things and I don't think I fit into any stereotype. I like leaving myself open to the influence of others, I enjoy the variety and diversity that comes from other people. My main interests are music, surfing and art. I also snowboard in the winter, play video games (moderately) and go hiking. I have been known to fish. I have a sneaker obsession and I fall hard for girls who sing and or write music.

My life has recently gone for a twist that turned me upside down. I'm adapting, coping, growing and ready to embrace whatever may come. I'm looking for friends here because I really love communication, and what better platform than LJ.

My name is Kelly. I am 22 and in nursing school. I recently became engaged (October 9th) and am currently planning my wedding! I live with my fiancee who is also in nursing school. We've been together for 6 1/2 years.

I have an intense passion for music, namely System of a Down, Evanescence, and Within Temptation. I think I have a conflicting personality- I love dark art and gothic scenery but love getting dressed up and am a total upbeat girly girl in that regard. I am a fashion freak; purses are my vice. I post photos from time to time, and write a lot of entries about things that piss me off or frustrate me (but I try to be pensive about those things and develop understandings through my writing).
