new problems

1) Moriarty has two obsessions in life: Sherlock and dancing. The old fashion type of dance – waltz, tango etc. When dancing was classy and sensual. Moriarty is also a brilliant dancer, as is surprisingly Sherlock, so to Moriarty is makes sense they should dance together. Moriarty has always wanted Sherlock for himself, but knows Sherlock and his boring midget John are in love and he can’t win Sherlock over. Why is a mystery to Moriarty. During one of their 'games' Moriarty takes Sherlock hostage & takes him to an old fashioned dance hall - really beautiful. Everything is really beautifully done up - lighting, music etc. There’s even an old fashioned gramophone and beautiful cakes etc. Unfortunately people are waiting for them – John, Lestrade, Mycroft, Mrs Hudson and Molly are all tied up and being held at gunpoint by Sebastian Moran, expert marksman along with other goons. The deal is simple: Sherlock dances all those beautiful dances with Moriarty for one night, and they all go free. Of course with Moriarty it's never simple. Sherlock has a small explosive device buried in his clothes which Moriarty controls, but it's powerful enough to kill him - and John etc. If he tries to talk to John, Sherlock dies. If Sherlock pushes Moriarty away, John dies. If John (or anyone else) tries to intervene, Sherlock dies – it’s a hopeless situation and Jim has thought of every angle. Having no choice Sherlock is forced to dance all these romantic, sensual dances with Jim, who’s getting lost in the music - both classical and opera, gradually pulling Sherlock closer and closer to him, whispering in his ear - kissing his neck/face, stroking him, gradually groping him more and becoming more sexual with him throughout the evening. Sherlock can't stop him, can't face the idea of loosing his John - or the others. Everyone can only just watch helplessly as Moriarty sweeps Sherlock round the floor, and no one can miss the tears rolling down Sherlock’s face...and all John can wonder while cursing and struggling. John is left wondering how he’ll be able to put Sherlock back together after this.... Tripple bonus points if you include the aftermath with Sherlock/John hurt/comfort

2) Simple idea: what if Irene Adler was a man instead of a woman? How would that change things? How would it alter John and Sherlock’s relationship? Adler’s still a top-class dominatrix, still gorgeous, brilliant and cunning – and still puzzles, bewildered and dazzles Sherlock Holmes. John has always assumed Sherlock was asexual, but seeing how he responds to Adler is a revelation not only about Sherlock but about himself, because John cannot stand Adler, hates how he can lead Sherlock on such a dance, hates how fascinated Sherlock is with him, how he’s got his brilliant Sherlock in knots. He doesn’t care how amused Lestrade and Mycroft and bloody Mrs Hudson are when he spits over the Adler man. He isn’t jealous. He is Not. He just...he just wants Sherlock to notice him like he does Adler... John/Sherlock ending please. I’d love it if it at least partly followed the episode - and feel free to throw in some Jim Moriarty (but with a happy J/S ending)

3) During a disturbing case involving child sexual abuse victims, Lestrade notices Sherlock is...different. He's gentle, patient and understanding with these children, and in turn they completely trust him and is the only person they'll confide in. Sherlock also takes this case *very* personally and seems to understand far too much of what they are going through. The pieces fall together and Lestrade realises with horror Sherlock was a victim himself - that's why he can't stand to be touched unexpectedly, why he flinches and has never had a relationship (or sex) before John came along – it also perhaps explains why John is so protective of Sherlock, so loyal and quick to defend his boyfriend. Finding the police reports his suspicions are later - reluctantly confirmed by Mycroft and later John. Somehow Lestrade eventually gets Sherlock to open up about it and he breaks down to Lestrade’s shock. His abuser was never caught and Mycroft considers it his one 'failure' and has spent his life trying to make it ‘up’ to Sherlock. Mycroft and John are the only two who know about the abuse prior to Lestrade. Sherlock’s abuser was never caught despite Mycroft reporting it. John/Sherlock please. Lestrade/Mycroft if you like. Extra twist (if want) - the child(ren)'s abuser is Sherlock's older abuser - who still sees the 'beautiful little Sherlock...'

4) Slight AU world (a bit of Regency England set in modern times). Due to Sherlock's 'eccentric' behaviour, Mycroft was given full guardianship of Sherlock when they parents died. Mycroft controls Sherlock's finances until he marries, which Mycroft despairs will ever happen. Despite appearances (and Sherlock’s mutterings) he really does love his brother and wants Sherlock settled in a happy and respectable marriage. Mycroft himself is happily married and wants the same for his brother. He knows if he can just find the right man for Sherlock, his younger brother will start to see the value of being in a relationship rather than conversing with a skull. Due to his exotic looks, brains and wealth, Sherlock has had quite a few marriage proposals but most pull out when they meet Sherlock. However he still has some rather insisting and demanding suitors - the callous Major Sebastian Moran and sadistic Jim Moriarty who both are willing to go to any lengths to get him. Desperate to avoid marriage to anyone Sherlock is trying to come up with excuses not to marry, listing all kinds of demands and acting like a brat around Moran and Moriarty but Mycroft is running out of patience. Sherlock *needs* to be married and his suitors are upstanding gentlemen. He needs a husband to take care of him, since Sherlock is so hopeless at it – he sees how Sherlock barely eats and sleeps for days on end. A husband will take care of him when Sherlock forgets. For all his intellect Sherlock feels hopeless and trapped...until a certain Dr John Watson appears on the scene and despite not being wealthy is prepared to fight for Sherlock...

5) When Sherlock is confronted by Jim Moriarty at the pool he is horrified. Not just because Jim has John – the man Sherlock loves with every fibre of his being, in an explosives vest but because he knows Jim...and all this time he never guessed, never made the connection. Of course back then Jim was Richard Brooks, and so very different. He was kind and attentive, and made a young, naive Sherlock think love just might be real that he might even be worthy of it. Of course the fairytale ended, Rich disappeared and now he’s back, as Jim Moriarty – consultant criminal, every bit as brilliant and amazing as he was but with a sadist, manic look in his eyes and Sherlock is scared, because Richard...Moriarty was the only man who was able to out-think him, who knows Sherlock - his dreams, fears - all exposed. After escaping Moriarty, John wants to get rid of Moriarty – permiantly. The man is a sadistic manic and serial killer, what more needs to be said and he cannot understand Sherlock’s reluctance to get rid of Moriarty at first he thinks Sherlock simply enjoys the chase too much, but gradually releases it’s much more complicated. John is horrified that his boyfriend once loved that...monster and unless he can get Sherlock’s head right – get him to see Moriarty as Moriarty and not ‘Rich’ they are screwed. Maybe Mycroft or even Lestrade could clue him in on just what kind of hold Richard Brooks/Moriarty once had over Sherlock, because it's happening again. Moriarty might be brilliant but John is a solider – a bloody good one, and is trained to take down the enemy, no matter the cost. And Sherlock...Sherlock just wants to know what happened to the man he was once going to marry (he still doesn’t know why Rich just disappeared, breaking his heart so completely). And Moriarty...or is it Rich? He just wants Sherlock. Alive. Happy. Brunt. Scarred. He doesn’t know. He just knows he wants Sherlock back

6) John was always curious how Lestrade met Sherlock, it’s not something that’s ever talked about. He sometimes conjures up an image Sherlock waltzing up a befuddled Lestrade – all flapping coat and scar, to a triple homicide, giving an observation monologue and unmasking the killer before introducing himself...but as much as that amuses, the question still remains. So how did Lestrade end up with Sherlock sort-of on his team? It’s a question that niggles at John, because sometimes... just sometimes he thinks he sees a *look* between Sherlock and Lestrade, too brief to be obvious but still there and ever since he and Sherlock have finally got together, he wants to know there isn’t anything between Lestrade and Sherlock, he knows that sounds ridiculous but can’t shake the feeling there’s a huge back-story which is being held from him. Unfortunately he’s right. Only four people know the truth about how Lestrade met Sherlock: Sherlock, Lestrade, Mycroft and Sherlock’s drug dealer-turned-rapist. Sherlock always wanted to keep his past from John, doesn’t want to frighten him off, Greg has always promised to keep his secret, Mycroft will do anything to make sure it’s never revealed - and Sherlock trusts them both. As for his drug dealing rapist he won't talk either, but only Greg and Mycroft know about what happened to him, and Sherlock wants to keep it that way, but of course life doesn’t work that way especially when you’ve got a determined boyfriend and a consultant criminal on your back... N.B. I’d love to see past Lestrade/Sherlock if possible. I’m also happy to have Mycroft/Lestrade.

Sorry, this one's a bit defective

This one appeared out of nowhere in my head yesterday. I can't come up with anything to do with it, but it won't go away, either, so I'm throwing it to you guys in the hope that it leaves me alone (sorry).

I know this is old but I really wanna see what Sherlock makes of it!

After a forest fire some firemen stumble upon the body of a scuba diver still in her scuba gear. The closest body of water where you'd need diving gear is a few miles away.
Clues:
x The body isn't scorched, while the trees around it are
x Most of the divers bones are broken, but she seems to have died from asphyxiation
x There are some dead fish around the diver

It's Been an Odd Week.

It's been an odd week in the quiet, leafy London suburb of Tropington. First there was the strangling of a local MP, next the little girl who mysteriously appears in neighbourhood gardens at night and now the cats have started to go missing.

Ooh fun!

Clue 1: The victim died because of a viral video they posted on Youtube.

Clue 2: The victim was a member of a slimming club.

Hmmmm, here are some clues for contemplation:

1) a broken hat pin
2) the Ace of Spades found in a Tarot deck
3) a classifieds ad

So...who did what to whom? And why?
