This community was created for people to both post & request recipes, and also to ask or give cooking advice. Feel free to share your cooking nightmares or brag about whatever you cooked. Really, just anything food related :)
Sundays are reserved for "bachelor gourmet recipes".
Coming Soon: Weekly recipe themes, either by type (appetizer, entree, etc.), by cuisine (Asian, French, etc.), or by ingredient (a la Iron Chef). Themes will run from Monday through Saturday, voting will be held on Sunday. Winner gets to pick the next theme.

talkbooks serves as a group booklog, where members can publicly post what they've read and their lengthy reactions to it. It's meant to foster discussion on any works - short stories, novels, biographies, non-fiction - deeper than what most book communities offer. We mean to analyze and react to the written word beyond the primary level of comprehension.
We also aim to go beyond the best seller lists and the Oprah Book Club to explore some of the more interesting writers from both the past and the present.
