I love my family!!!

I love my family so much.
What I love about Avery
1. She really is a happy baby.
2. She has been sleeping all through the night since she was 2 months old. YEAH!!!
3. Her face lights up so big when we smile at her.
4. Her laugh. Ally and Aaron can really get her laughing hard. It is darling!
5. Her chubby cheeks that I just can't stop kissing.

What I love about Ally
1. Her cheesy grin
2. How she is so cautious. She acts like she'll do anything, but when it gets down to it, she'll just stay on the side and watch. It doesn't even bother her.
3. Sometimes bratty but never naughty. She doesn't even know that you can do naughty things. It's never been an option to her. She really does obey pretty good.
4. How she is so grateful. She still tells me thank you for her Christmas presents last year. She never forgets who gave her what and will always tell them thank you and that she loves it so much.
5. What a great big sister she is. She is so willing to get anything for me and loves to give her sister big kisses and hugs.
What I love about Aaron
1. How he loves me even when I'm crazy. And he is so patient.
2. What a WONDERFUL dad he is. He is a much better parent than I am. It's just so natural to him. He loves his girls so much.
3. How he always thinks of me. For instance: Whenever we are at a restaurant that gives you bread he will always cut and butter my bread for me first. I don't think I've ever had to slice and butter the bread. (I know, dumb thing, but I just love it so much).
4. He is such a hard worker. He works full time, goes to school every night, builds websites and still finds time to spend with us.
5. He is the best snuggler. We all love to snuggle him. And he never complains when I put my cold feet on his legs every night.

I just love them all so much. Friday was my last day at work and although I will miss all my wonderful friends, I'm so excited to be home with my girls all day. They are such a joy to be with. It just makes me happy.

On a side note, it snowed today! I love the first big snowfall. It makes me so excited for Christmas. It is just so beautiful and peaceful.

Little surprises

We had some nice little surprises show up yesterday. First off, as many are aware I LOVE a good deal. Now, I'm not talking yeah, that was a good deal, I'm talking I live for it. It's like my little high. I get so excited when I get a good deal that I immediately call Aaron who could not care less or my mom who cares a little bit more, but not much. Then I call my sisters, my mother-in-law, sister-in-law, etc, basically anyone that will listen to me. It's not that I want to brag, I just get so excited I want everyone else to feel the same excitment and high and go get the same deal themselves. Usually Corie is the only one who gets as excited. Thanks Corie!

Well, back to my surprises... Yesterday in the mail my flash drive showed up that I got for free. That's right FREE. I didn't pay one penny for it. I bought it online for $10.00 (that was with free shipping and no tax) and then I used a coupon code for $10.00 off. That made it $0.00. It was cool. I've never seen an invoice with $0.00. Then later yesterday the UPS guy showed up with my FREE popcorn from Dale and Thomas. I shouldn't say it was totally free because I did have to pay $5.00 shipping, but it let me tell you, it is worth every penny. It is SOOOO GOOD! Then to make things even better, today when we got home, some more popcorn was on the doorstep. I don't know how that happened because I thought I only ordered two. So now I have four bags of free popcorn that is delicious (well I should say only two because I already eaten 2 bags pretty much by myself-I don't have good self control). I'm looking forward to December when I had my other Dale and Thomas Popcorn shipped that I got with my FREE $20.00 gift card from them and the $6.00 off code. I think I only paid $9.00 for a big bunch of yummy popcorn. YEAH!!!

Another little surprise...
When I went to Shopko with coupon in hand for the big box of diapers that were on sale for $19.99, I decided to browse around and found this box of diapers that included a free thing of wipes on clearance for $10.99. So with my $1.00 off coupon, this whole bunch of diapers and some wipes were only $9.99. This time I told pretty much everyone I knew about this deal. Nobody was excited as I was. YEAH for cheap diapers! Oh, and they are a size bigger than Avery wears, but they didn't have her size on clearance so I thought that I can just make these fit, which they do. YEAH!!!

And the best surprise of all...

This was Ally's little surprise on our doorstep. It says "Ali I lve you. From Stewart" Her little friend Stewart dropped it off on our doorstep. It was darling!! She was so excited to get a letter just for her from her friend. Another YEAH!!!

Well, I did it!!

Last Monday at work, I gave my two week notice. I'm so excited. I get to be a stay-at-home mom starting Dec. 1. It will be hard to leave my friends of 8 years, but I know that this is the right decision. I told Ally on Sunday night that I was going to tell my work that I was going to stay home with her and Avery, well on Monday when I went to pick her up from my mom's, the first thing she said to me was "Mommy, did your work friends say it was okay for you to stay home with us?" That right there sealed the deal. She really is happy for me to be home with her and Avery. She's already planning out all the things for us to do and I can see lots and lots of tea parties in my future.

Speaking of the two, here are some cute Halloween pictures.

Ally was a princess and Avery was a bunny. I just love that bunny costume. They had a lot of fun Trick-or-treating. We went with some friends in the neighborhood. I felt a little misplaced because it was all of the dads and me, but Aaron offered to stay home and pass out candy and clean the house. There was no way I was going to pass that offer up. It was a fun day!!

ramblings...

It's late and I should be in bed, but I have a lot on my mind right now..

• I love the title Mommy. Ally says it so sweet and cute. I love being a mom. I love to spend the whole day with my girls. I never thought motherhood would be so fulfilling. Today when Ally, Avery and me were snuggling on the couch for quite time (well it wasn't that quite with trying to get Avery to sleep and Ally wanting to sing her songs) I thought how lucky I am to be the mom of two great girls. I am happy!
• I really married a great guy. I know my mom was worried for a little bit, but I think she was really happy and relieved when Aaron came around. It was a short courtship and engagement, but I wouldn't have had it any other way. I am so lucky to have him. I love him so much and I'm pretty sure that he feels the same way :) He works VERY hard for our little family. I'm so happy he is my husband. I know I need to show him more by doing the things that he would love (like having a clean house). I vow to try harder.
• Speaking of which, I'm sure everyone knows this about me, but I hate to clean. As I'm sitting here writing this entry I look at my house with the dishes in the dishwasher that should be put away and the clothes in the baskets that need to be folded and the family room which really should be vacuumed and just about everything else that needs to be cleaned. Oh well, I just can't get up the umph to do it. I really hate it! I just look at the bright side, I definitely don't have OCD.
• One more thing, I love my family. I have great parents, great siblings, great in-laws, cousins, grandmas, etc. I am so lucky to have so much family close by who love us and our kids.

Well that's about enough for tonight, I'm getting very tired and I have to go to work early in the morning :( I will post some cute Halloween pictures soon.

This and That

I think a post is long overdue. Here is the happenings the past couple of weeks with the Boyntons.

Ally started a dance class this week. Now, I have to tell you she LOVES to dance. Whenever we turn on Barbie and the Twelve Dancing Princesses DVD she goes and gets on her dancing dress ups (thanks Gav and Jess) and dances with Barbie through the whole movie. So when I told her that I was going to sign her up for dance she made sure to tell me that she is going to be the best dancer and that she is already a ballerina. Well, it was SO cute. Parents can observe the first week of every month so Avery and I got to watch. The teacher is really fun and good with the little girls. I just about died when we got her all dressed to go. I think little girls in ballet clothes has just got to be about the cutest thing. And she was so excited.



Another thing....

Last Friday, we went with my Mom and Kim to see the witches at Gardner Village. Ally was a little hesitant at first but wouldn't really admit it. It was a lot of fun!

She was a good sport for this one. It was funny, at first Ally was totally fine just sitting on the whole other end of the bench, way away from the witch but when Kim was there she was more willing to get closer.

And at last...

I started back to work this week. I really don't have my heart in it anymore. I just don't think I'm cut out for it anymore. I REALLY just want to stay home with my girls. I thought that after working there for 8 years that it would be hard for me to leave, but after being home for seven weeks I realized that it wouldn't be hard to leave at all. At least I'm only working part time now and on Tuesdays and Thursdays I get to be with my kids.

Now look at this cute thing, how can I leave this cute face for the whole day.

The Good, the Bad and the Ugly

The Good....

The Bad....

Me and my girls were in an accident last Monday on the way home from preschool. I decided that I really wanted a coke from McDonalds (you know thier only 69 cents). Well after getting my coke we went down 9400 South and at 300 East the light just turned yellow as I was entering the intersection. A teenager coming home from high school was turning left and thought that he could beat me. Well he slammed right into me and then pushed me into another car. It was the scariest thing that has ever happened to me. I'm so grateful that my kids and I are okay. There was a very nice lady who witnessed the accident and came right over to me and helped me get my kids out of the car and then she held Avery the whole entire time while I filled out a report, and talked to the cop. The kid was cited and was at fault, but he tried telling his insurance company that I ran a red light. After his insurance company investigated it they let me know that he was at fault and that they would pay all of my claims. Thankfully.


The Ugly....

Aaron took these pics with his camera phone when he came to rescue me. Oh, funny story about the rescuing...I called Aaron to come and get me but I thought he would be a long time coming from Bountiful so I called my mom to come and help me with my kids since she was closer. Well Aaron beat my mom there. Apparently after I called her she was too shaken up to get on the freeway so she just came the side roads which took longer. Anyways, here are the pics.

So, this is the damage done. I don't know yet if they are going call it a total loss or not yet. I have a strong feeling that they might because I called the body shop and the estimate is at $7,028. They are just waiting to hear from the insurance company on what they want to do. We are really bummed because 1) I really loved this car and 2) we just paid it off and I really DO NOT want a car payment. With me going part time, it's just not something we can afford.

So, in the meantime, I'm driving a rental car and just hoping that they will fix my car.

My Cute Cowgirl....and her sister

I just have to say, I love Swenson Station!! For those of you who don't know, it is my Aunt Val's preschool that Ally goes to. They do the cutest things there. Well, today was Howdy day and Ally was so excited to dress up. It first started when we went to Smith's Marketplace last night to get a hat and she was so excited she immediately put it on and then she had to look in every mirror we passed and then would tell me what a cute cowgirl she is (and just so you know, she will correct you if you call it a cowBOY hat; it is a cowGIRL hat). When we got to preschool I just couldn't resist taking pictures of my darling little cowgirl.

Also, a funny thing about Ally is that she hardly ever will look at the camera. She really thinks she is, but at the last second something more interesting is catching her eye. In this instance it was probably a tree.

Sometimes it really bugs the crap out of me, but other times it makes for a cute picture.

And just so we don't leave Avery out. This is a picture of her in her crib for the first night (she has been sleeping in a cradle in our room)

My way of journaling

I was inspired to actually write a blog when the other day my mom pulled out my grandma's journal and read us some funny things like when Kim said she had "Mother goosebumps" on her arm or the endless praises of how smart and cute Corie is or how they don't drive as much anymore because gas is over a $1. As she was reading it I decided that I should really be keeping a journal to document all the little things in our life, but I know that if I get an actual journal, I will most likely lose it or it will become a coloring book by the 4-year old. But, if I have a blog then maybe it will be safe in cyberspace (is that an oxymoron?) and also my close friends and family will know a little bit about what goes on with the Boyntons (warning: not much goes on with the Boyntons). I can already tell you that most of this will probably be about my kids since that is pretty much my life and as a mother everything they do is so darn cute and smart even if nobody else thinks so. Also, I can tell you that I write like I talk (rambling). Aaron always makes fun of my writing. He says its kind of like my prayers, rambling and not very eloquent.

So, here it goes... I don't really have a habit of sticking with most things but I really want to do this so I hope I do.
