The Young KL Singers' are opening their doors to enthusiastic young singers!

Young adults that are interested in joining the choir are welcome to audition.

Despite that, we;ve been rehearsing hard, singing out loud and had a blast !

2008 is wonderful. With our Jazz themed production, it's going to be lotsa intereting twist for ykls. We're learning up our repertoire now, and gonna learn up our movements soon too.

Move Move ...

this is post #38 and it has been 6 months since the last post.

Busy dancing, 3 nights rehearsals, shouting, memorizing and being tired.

It's amazing how time flies and right now, we're two week before the show starts.

Yes, please come for the show, this is definately an inspiring one, it's our 5th Anniversary show and it;s out first show since we move to our own place at the Young Choral Academy, TTDI.

The Young KL Singers (YKLS) turn 5 this year and we want to celebrate with YOU!

Come move and sing with us at our 5th year anniversary concert – a celebration of music not to be missed!

Directed by YKLS' Artistic/Music Director Susanna Saw and visual artist/theatre practitioner, Chee Sek Thim of the Five Arts Centre, in collaboration with renowned dancer/choreographer, Mew Chang Tsing, as our guest choreographer - we will bring back all time YKLS favourites including, ‘One Day More’ from Les Miserables, ‘Light At the End of the Tunnel’ from Starlight Express, ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone’ from Carousel, ‘Magnificent Horses’, ‘Yang Indah’ from M! The Opera and ‘Yver, Vous N’etes Qu’un Villain’ performed by the YKLS Chamber Choir.

This year also celebrates the opening of the YKLS’ new home, under the Young Choral Academy (YCA) - an umbrella of the country’s first academy for choral music.

So, make a date to catch us in our element and join in our revelry of five wonderful years together!

Hi everyone ... how are you all doing. Hope taht all your bones,muscles and tendons are still in place ... hehehe ... My body wasstill aching for a couple of days since last monday's class. Justwant to drop a note to inform everyone about this coming monday'srehearsal (30th April 2007).As we can see from the last rehearsal that the amount of time that wehave is not sufficient. We still have a few more songs to settle thechoreograph. For this coming rehearsal, please be prepared to stay onupto 12 am (midnight) for rehearsal. We want to settle thechoreography part as soon as we can. Tuesday is a Public Holiday(Labours Day and also Wesak Day) so we can rest the following day.I understand that not all of this year's production members are noton the Yahoo groups. Can each section leaders either sms or email andinform all the various sections. I know that this is rather shortnotice so let's try our best and let all know ya.Happy stretching ...!!!
