Cohen is 22 months, yesterday! I can't believe his 2-year Bday is just right around the corner!
Cohen's new word: 'Cah-toon'
(So cute that it makes me want to put on a cartoon whenever he asks for one... Bad news, I know...)
Cohen's new foods:
Tomato - (This was supposed to be for the tacos I was making the other night. But he grabbed it and ran into his room. This is how I found him... And mind you, he has never really liked tomatoes before this...)
Olives - (What kid doesn't like olives??? I know I've always loved them! And now, it's my son's turn to put them all on his fingers and eat them off...!) :)
New Mommy in town:
(Yes, I know... You don't have to tell me! My boys are the just the cutest, sweetest boys you have ever seen!)
New summer activities:
Aahhh... (That was supposed to be a contented sigh, not a scream...) I sure do wish, 99.5% of the time, that I am back up in Idaho with the fam and friends, but man, I just love the beach! Taking kids to the beach does not make it nearly as peaceful as the Lord intended, but it is still one of my favorite things to do in the summer! We went a few days ago and it was overcast and windy, but still gorgeous! I will definitely miss it when we finally move back!
(And so will Cohen, I think. He did seem to enjoy it quite a bit! But then again, what kid doesn't enjoy getting wet and covered in sticky sand...?)
Eli is almost 6 months now, at the end of the month! Crazy!!!
Eli's new foods:
My little man is eating everything I give him!!! (Well, except avocado...) He eats squash, pears, carrots, bananas, peas, apples, sweet potatoes and oatmeal! I know! Little PIG is what I should be calling him! :) Ha! He eats 3x a day and still have several 6oz bottles. He weaned himself about a month ago, so now he's on Enfamil GentleEase formula.
The kid is huge! And when I say 'huge', I mean HUGE! He is wearing 9-12 month clothes and clothes that Cohen wore when he was a year! Crazy! But hes not just chunky, he's super tall, too! :) He's growing out of clothes about as fast as I can pull them out of the drawers!
Eli's new tricks:
So Eli JUST found his feet about a week ago! So now whenever he's on his back, he's trying to grab at 'em! :) It's so cute! I remember when Cohen found his feet! Seems like so long ago... :p
We're also working on sitting up! He's still not too good at it yet, but he can sit for a few seconds before toppling over! :) Life will get so much easier for us both when he can sit up by himself, so I'm kinda just waiting for that to happen...
Let's see...
He also just started saying the 'dadadada' sound. He definitely loves to hear himself talk! For such a low-key little guy, he can be super loud! :) But I think it's really cute! (most of the time - for sure not when he's supposed to be sleeping!) :D
New haircut:
His hair was bad... I mean, I am him loving mother, who thinks her son looks perfect all the time, and I thought it was bad... Stringy and long and in his eyes on the top, bald in the back and nice and full around his neck... Yea, so he was in need of a trim. Here's his new do!
New toys: (Woohoo!)
This is Eli's new jumpy toy! He loves it! His favorite position is standing, so I knew he'd like it! :) We are borrowing it from Danielle and Ethan, friends from my Mom Group. So 'Woohoo' again for not spending any moolah! :D
