Christians 8th Birthday

So I was really sad when Christian decided not to do Harry Potter. But his Ninja party was really fun. I did have to get mad at the boys because they were literally jumping off the walls, on the couch, and the ottoman. I never want to be a mom of 12 boys!

Owen's 5th Birthday- Sponge Bob

Owen could not decide what kind of party he wanted this year. So about a month before the big day I started planting ideas into his head. I thought SpongeBob would be really fun to do, so we only watched SpongeBob, talked about SpongeBob, and and got excited about SpongeBob. We did not allow anybody to mention anything else, that way he wouldn't change his mind. It turned out great. It was his first party with friends, and they were all really cute.

Owen's 4th, Christian's 7th Birthday- Star Wars

I combined this party, but only Christian's friends came, so it was a little uneven. It was fun. We had a Lego Spaceship building contest and a bunch of other stuff I can't remember. I did cupcakes in the shape of a lightsaber. I was so busy running around, that I got very few pictures. We wanted to wear our Star Wars costumes, but never got around to that either. Oh well, I included pictures of those anyway!

Christian's 6th Birthday- Pirates of the Carribean

This was a great party! Christian was Jack Sparrow, and the rest of us were his crew. He had so much fun hanging little strips of green crate paper all over the house to make it look like seaweed. I had fun making his half-jello cake. Aren't my trees cute? Brea and Michelle were in town, so it was extra special.

Owen's 3rd Birthday- Toy Story

This is by far my favorite party. Everybody dressed up, even Jason who sacrificed and dressed up like Ken. We had him do a costume change halfway through the party which was really funny. I saw the alien cupcakes in Family Fun Magazine- they turned out dang cute. I just winged the slinky-dogs, and they turned out to be a big hit. It was just a fun party.

Christian's 5th Brithday- Ben 10

This was Christian's last birthday party before the "big friend parties" I really miss just setting up a bounce house, breaking a pinata, and chatting with family. 

Christian's favorite part was the dry ice punch. We need to do it more often.

Owen's 2nd Birthday- Mickey Mouse

We didn't do much for this party, just some cupcakes. I did get some cute pictures with the boys with Grandma great. Nobody dressed up except Matt and Maggie who were Walt and Lilian Disney. They looked really good!

Christian's 2nd Birthday- Cars Party

This party was so much fun! I made all of the guests a personalized shirt that has their name on the front, and TEAM CHRISTIAN on the back.

Christian's First Birthday- Pirate Party

Since I am doing Princess Parties, I thought I would post some of the pictures from past birthdays that are not already done.

For Christian's 1st birthday, we had a pirate party. The invites stated that all visitors who did not dress-up would walk the plank. This was the beginning of our tradition of dressing up at birthday parties. Matt was awesome! The funny thing is that he got pulled over on the way home!

Secret Santa

Guess what??? We have a secret Santa! We have been trying to figure out who it is for a week, but don't have many clues. We know they are fast runners because I opened the door about 3 seconds after it rang one night, and they were gone. We also discovered they must know us pretty well because they brought us cookies form Kneaders (yum!) and a hat for Clark (we love it, he hates it- he attacks it when we put it on him).
So, whoever you are... thanks. It is really nice to know that somebody cares about our family enough to go out of their way at such a busy time of year and bring us a little holiday joy.

Bye Bye Summer.

Okay Okay, I admit it. I don't love summer as much as I used to. It makes a huge difference when you are a kid with a pool in the backyard as compared to an adult with weeds in the backyard. But as happy as I am to feel some cool weather, I am sad that summer is gone. Hopefully there will be some great weather in the fall and winter won't come too soon!

Christian and Owen got to play in the leaves before it rained. Although, there are an awful lot of dogs that play in that park. I am pretty sure that those leaves are pretty gross. I couldn't help but cringe every time they threw a pile of them up in the air. But it was worth seeing Owen be so proud of his jumping, and Christian doing what he does best... getting dirty. Well, so long summer! See you next year.

HAPpy BIRTHDAY JASON!

31 reasons why we love Jason:
1- He is not embarrassed to play with his kids in public. We went to a ward carnival, and he was the only Dad doing the games.

2-He studies really hard so that we will have a good future.

3-He is a hard worker.

4-He is patient when teaching Christian the alphabet. (believe me, this kid takes patience!)

5-He is good looking (with or without a beard).

Mother Goose Day:

Christian had his first preschool program. All of the kids memorized their favorite nursery rhyme and performed it for a parent. His teacher also invited my Mom which was really nice. Anyway, Christian is so funny. I read the entire huge nursery rhyme book to him and instead of picking one of the better-known rhymes, he picked one called "Bat, Bat." He memorized it abut a month ago, and has been really excited to dress up as one of the characters from the rhyme. He performed it perfectly, and was so cute! All of the kids did such a good job, I can't believe how wonderful this preschool is. I hope that they are still teaching when Owen is old enough to go!
The rhyme went like this:
Bat, Bat, get under my hat and I'll give you a slice of bacon. And if I bake, I'll make you a cake, if I'm not mistaken.

I have decided that nursery rhymes are really weird!

Sean and Kelli get Hitched!

I am WAY behind blogging, and there are many events that I will probably not get around to, but I just can't skip the most important even of the year: Kelli and Sean's Wedding! It was so wonderful to see them married on September 2nd. I had fun helping Kelli with a lot of the details, and was really excited that she asked Christian to be the ring bearer. He was such a crack-up. He was standing up there and all of the sudden just sat down and looked bored. I thought maybe he wouldn't last when there was a bee flying around and when he started randomly talking, but he actually did really good. Afterward he told me: "That boring guy talked too long!"

Sean and Kelli chose the American Fork Amphitheater which was where Ryan and Marge were married, so it was extra fun. I helped make the cupcake stand... which I forgot to put a picture of on here. Oh well!

They had the darn cutest photographer from Green Apple Photography. I want her to take pictures of my kids. She is really patient and takes a ton of pictures that are cute and unique.

A lot of people came to the reception that I knew, it was great to see most of my husband's side of the family, as well as our scrapbook friend Mindi. Thanks everyone who supported my best friend.

Kelli, I love you and I am so happy that you found Sean. You are a beautiful bride and did such a wonderful job making all of the wedding arrangements. It was a perfect day! Next I will blog their honeymoon! Just kidding, i will leave that one up to Kelli!
