Glacier National Park

Something we did for fun this summer was visit Glacier National Park. This trip was for me and I was so excited about it. It was so breathtaking. Everything was so green and the glacier-carved mountains were stunning. We stayed in a hotel near the park for a few nights and drove into the park during the day. We spent a lot of time in the car over the course of three days, and the kids were real troopers. The best part of the trip for them was throwing rocks into the lake. Cody managed to whack Melanie in the head with one pretty good. It left quite a goose egg. The kids really wanted to take a boat ride, so we did. They thought that was pretty neat. We even got to see a bear while we were there (not too close thank goodness).

Lake Coeur d' Alene

Hey everyone, I've finally given in and decided to start blogging. I'm new to this and sometimes a little technologically challenged, so we'll see how it goes. Since we don't live close to home, I figured it would be a good way to share with our families and others what we have been up to.

This summer we had a lot of fun. Brian's brother Chris and his wife Tiesha came up and stayed with us for a few days. We all went to lake Coeur d' Alene. The kids had a blast. They both had fun playing in the sand and making sand castles. Cody didn't dare go out in the water; he was scared of the waves, but Melanie loved the water.
