Hello Summer

Well it's been quite awhile since I posted on here. I did so well until things got so boring. Ok I guess it just got to mondane.  We were able to spend lot of time outside and working on getting things cleaned up in around the yard. My mom came over and helped guide me on picking out plants and figuring out what is weeds vs flowers.  I made quite a few trips to Menards, with my facemask. We also braved Fleet Farm's outside greenhouses and Eberts. I was so proud of my kids to wear mask and stay away from people. 
May also was the first time we were able to see our friends and Grandma. Grandma and Tim came to visit for an afternoon. It was nice to see them since it had been quite a long time. We did keep our distance to keep everyone safe. We also decided we would be safe with our good local friends. We has all been exposed to pretty much the same places anyhow, so it has made quarantine a lot nicer. Having another kid to play with has helped Max a lot. Bella gets it, but Max struggles with no friends.  I was also able to go back to the crossfit gym. I'll admit it was kind of scary, but it has been so good for my mental health. I also know that I was not moving enough at home. 
The Kids and I also walked 31 miles in the month of May. We spend a lot of time walking the local trail. The kids loved it. We saw so many animals, were able to visit the lake as it takes us right over hte lake. Grady even got to walk the trails too. He's afraid of people, but wants to check out bikes.
June brought us the end of school. Zoom classes ended in May, but we had a school drive by parade to say goodbye. It was pretty sad to say goodbye to our teachers this year. At the time the kids were ok with being done with classes for while (but at the time I'm writing this they miss school) .
I will admit that it's getting hard as it gets nicer out and having more "free time" to just be home.  Camps have been canceled as have any trips.  It's hard to really think about Summer when there is not "big" or "exciting" happening.

So our church did an Easter Parade around the block and got Blessed by Father Tom. It was so heartwarming to see all the people who came to support our church. 

 THen we stopped by Josh to give him palms and easter cookies.

 The tree next our tree got cut down..the kids counted the rings and played "who's taller"

 Some how the easter bunny waited to come until after we got back from church. Of course I said the chickens sure laid funny color eggs.

 Baskets were left indoors, which was good since it was chilly .

 So our family came for a very short visit and staying 6 feet apart.. They met Grady, we exchanged easter "baskets" and then they headed on their way. It was nice to be able to see them for a little bit. Really missing family and friends.

 We got a lamb cake this year. Also the kids and i made the center pieces... Something a little different for this little different Easter

Holy Thursday, Good Friday and Saturday

We started out Holy Week with some Easter fun!

We watched Mass online with the Bishop and Fr. Greg and then in the afternoon watched Miss Jodi in the Atrium.

 Pepper is still struggling with the puppy, but she's been coming up more and more. She also figured out that Cole and Grady were outside, so she came upstairs to enjoy both bones!

woah Wednesday

So the days have gotten away from me again. Ok that's not really true. The trouble is Tuesday was a really rough day for Max and Wednesday has been a really rough day for me. 
Tuesday was another beautiful day. We got schooling down quickly and then i tired to get some work done for myself too... My mom asked if she could come over to enjoy the weather... so she came at lunch time.. we spent from 12:45-3pm outside working in the yard.  We got the rest of the raking done, got the front yard started and placed anti slip stickers on my porch steps. We wore out the puppy who did a lot of napping. The kids were worn out too.
Wednesday we all hit a rock.. Max hated doing any work. told his whole class that i only made him work and basically refused to do anything.  I had no ambition and felt like i was loosing it.  I just couldn't really function and so i didn't. We stay home and everyone in their own corner of the house. It wasn't a pleasant day.
