What's New?!

This last weekend we went down to Columbia Missouri. It was so much fun. It is an actual city type place and had a real mall and lots of other fun stuff. It was nice to get out of Kirksville for a day and spend a day that felt more like Home! Not saying that Kirksville doesn't feel like home, but it was great to not have to shop at Wal-Mart! We went with our friends Chris and Carrie and split the gas so it wasn't that much to go down.
Me- I am now 33 weeks along and getting closer to having our little boy join our family. Tyler just bought me my first sewing machine (early christmas gift!) and I am so excited for it to come. Of course, it was the cheap one but I am so excited to have one and to hopefully improve my sewing techniques! For those of you who I have not cornered and shown my blankets to, I will try and get a picture of them for you. But I did successfully make 3 baby blankets for barry and I hope to make many more and lots of other stuff. I am planning on making a Doorway Puppet Theater for my girls for Christmas. I will keep you updated.
Tyler- He had a slower weekend so we actually got to see him. It was so nice having him home and being able to play. He is studying hard and doing great in Medical School. I am so proud of him. He is also doing P90X again and doing great at that. He can ( and me too) already see a difference. The school really encourages the students to workout so they can keep in good health. Tyler is more than willing to do it.
Hallie- is busy being 4 and planning what she will do when she is 5. We went for a walk last night and she talked the whole time about being 5 and how big she is getting. She loves to hear stories of when she was little and loves to hear that she is getting so big. I was driving her to school the other day and this was the conversation:
H: Mom, when I get big and have kids of my own will you and Dad be the Grandma and Grandpa?
M: Yes!
A few minutes later ( after much thought on her part)
H: So when I have kids they will come to me and say "Mom, why doesn't Grandpa have any hair?"
M: I am sure they will!
I had to hold back the laughter. She has never really mentioned the fact that Tyler doesn't have much hair but appartenly she thinks about it!
Annie-is really into reading books lately. She loves to corner Tyler or I ( or anyone she can) and have us read book after book to her. She absolutely loves Cinderella right now. We watch them movie at least once a day, usually when Hallie is at school. As most of you know, Annie has a favorite blanket that she has had since she was a baby. It is getting too small and won't keep her warm at night so we got her a new one. The first night she wanted nothing to do with the new blanket and even threw it out in the hall cause she didn't want it near her. The second night she decided to give it a try and took her old blanket out to the hall. Only it was more difficult for her to leave this one so she sat down with it and cried. I told her she could sleep with both blankets if she wanted to. She looked at me and then jumped up with her blanket and ran to bed. She was in heaven with both blankets on her.

Proof...

Here is proof of Aunt Mckensi's comment about given Annie one or two M&M's. Annie truly is our little talented mess maker. But the good news is whenever she does something that she knows she shouldn't have done she comes running in to tell us. I never know if I should get mad at her or tell her thank you for telling me.
To update you on Annie's little dance class- she is so excited when I tell her that she has dance that day and loves to put on her clothes and get her hair done but the minute we get to the door of the studio she starts crying and won't leave my side. The class is only a half hour long and she usually sits on my lap for the first 25 minutes. We always have to stay an extra 15 minutes just so she can dance around the studio and get her cup full of dancing. Then we go pick up Hallie from preschool and Annie just goes on and on about how much fun she had at Dance.
Speaking of Hallie. She is still loving school. We went to pick her up the other day and the teacher was still reading a book. Hallie came over to me and asked if we could stay at school for a little while longer. She loves her teacher and loves going every day. Her new thing right now is wanting an animal. She doesn't understand that our landlord won't let us have one so she continues to ask everyday for a dog or a cat. Maybe one day we can get her one. She truly loves animals.

Site and life related update...

There are just a few new thingies round these parts. You will notice this sign up thingie on the side of the post here. We know there are a few of you out there that come to check on us, and blogger just started this thing. We want to see your faces. (it is a good idea to get a picture of yourself in your profile, I just did it and I LOVE it).

I started a P90X related blog thanks to the inspiration of Amy Miller and her dedication to all things Tony has given to us. It is the most incredible workout on the friggin planet here people. Buy it, burn it, watch it through the neighbors window, then let me know and I will add you there and we can all keep each other going. AWESOME! We can beat this overwhelming bulge and flabbyness that is suffocating our local pools, skate parks, and ice cream stores.

Other than all that, life is quite awesome. The girls are healthy and onry cause they wake up early. Bree is super sore cause she started walking the treadmill. I am doing pretty dang good in school. Rock it on ya'll, and we will do a more entertaining post later.

I do it myself Dad!

The other night Annie stuffed a small piece of cardboard up her nose and came crying to us to get it out. Tyler got the tweezers out and try getting it out but it seemed to only go further up. Annie got upset at him and stormed out of the room. We just looked at each and shrugged our shoulders. It would eventually come out anyway right! A few minutes later Annie comes huffing back in, hands on her hips and yells " I do it myself Dad." She then takes the tweezers and leaves the room. We followed her of course and watched as she tried to get the cardboard out on her own. After many attempts of the tweezers up her nose she finally sneezed and it came out. She was pretty proud of herself for doing it by herself. I would say that is one independent, determined little girl. Just one of the many reasons why we love her so much!

Dance, Dance, Dance...

Annie had her first day of dance today and boy was she excited that the day finally came! She got really shy when we first walked in and that made her nervous to go out and dance in front of everyone. But once she warmed up to the fact that she had to dance in front of other people she was on fire. She has always loved to dance and really enjoyed watching her teacher and doing what she was doing. She really is a doll and was so much fun to watch. Plus, she loves the fact that she has something to do while Hallie is at school. And she LOVES her new dance clothes. She told me she was a princess with them on.
I finally had Tyler take a picture of me pregnant. So here I am 8 months pregnant with our little Barry. I hope he doesn't have to grow to much more cause I don't know how much more I can stretch. Oh well, he will be worth it when he comes! We sure are excited for him. Annie kisses and hugs my belly every night and says "Barry I lub you." It is so sweet. I also told Hallie that the baby can hear our voices when he is in my tummy, so the other day she came up to my tummy and said "Barry I am so excited for you to come, this is Hallie" I love my girls. I don't think they could get any sweeter.

Hallie's first day of Preschool...

The long awaited day finally arrived and Hallie was beyond thrilled. She woke up at 6:20 asking if she could go yet and was a little disappointed when she learned that she has the afternoon class! So we spent the morning trying to keep her occupied. Her one request was that Dad come with us so he could see her school. Luckily Tyler got out of class right as we were taking her. She was a little nervous when we went into the school but she went and picked out her name tag and then let the teacher take her to the carpet rug to sit down. The funny thing, or not so funny thing, was when we turned to leave Annie started screaming. She was not happy about leaving Hallie without her. I am thinking that Annie will need to go to preschool next year when she is old enough.
When I picked Hallie up she ran to us and started to tell us all the fun stuff that she had done. It was so fun to see that twinkle in her eyes again. She really loves learning and being around people. But when we got into the van she asked why Dad didn't come with us to drop her off to school. I think she was more nervous than we thought for her to forget that Dad did come with us. Oh, the next couple of picture are us dropping her off at school but she was mad at us for taking pictures of her because none of the other kids were taking there pictures. Already trying to fit in. We sure love you Hallie and are proud of you for going to school and doing so well.
