Down At The Lake

Well this weekend our family went down to the lake. It was a good weekend. We left after work on Friday and I came back on Sunday evening after the Sunday Seafood Fest where we had huge shrimp, salmon, and some scallops. MMMM it was good. Rick makes some good food. Friday night he made his specialty "Rick's Ribs". I don't know if he made enough though because we had the equlivalent of 1/2 a pig left over, which is crazy considering the ammount of people we fed to the point of explosion. Wakeboarding went well for me I landed a Scarecrow and a 360. I was also able to ride the Manta Rae which is a tube that is pulled behind the boat a it is shaped like a Manta Rae. The think that makes this different from other tubes is that when you get enough speed you actually take off in the air and float for brief stints. I was able to get some air but it really works well for lighter people.

Ally was loving it down at the lake. She loves being down at the lake. She just plays too hard and doesn't know when it is time to go to bed. She thinks that she should be able to stay up until 11:00pm like everyone else, but she is crankfest if she doesn't get enough sleep. She was happy to set up an candy store where people paid her for min chocolate bars, licorice and bags of snacks that Mama donated. She is hoping to save up for a talking Care Bear.

Erin had a good time but she was especially excited to see Caden. When she got to hold him she didn't want to put him down, and I can understand why because he is the cuteness.

I am excited to go back down to the lake on Wednesday. I hope that I will get lots of wakeboarding in and that the boys will have the sub in the boat by then.

It actually worked quite well. At least he was able to ride down the mountain without damaging his rim.

Man Trip: Dev had a flat tire and we ran out of spares so we took out the tube and filled the tire with grass and leaves.
