Thanksgiving

This year we did things a little different. My parents were not in town, so we decided to join my sister and her hubby at my parents new house for Thanksgiving.
It was a little stressful because my parents just moved in a week ealier and my sister a few days after that!
Katie had the entire meal planned out down to what dish went in which platter. I cooked side-by-side w/her for 5 1/2 hrs and we accomplished everything!
Dinner turned out good; turkey was good!
Katie made the pumpkin pie and it was the best I've tasted!!!! NO JOKE!

Her area is definately baking :)

So we had a great time/day together!

Black Friday I went shopping around 9:45 am until 2pm. I was able to get some good deals and had a blast. My friend Annie came with me :)
I think I will shop on Black Friday every year from now on. You just can't beat the deals! I saved so much money!!!!

He has lots and lots of gorgeous blonde hair! I can't wait to meet him!

I have been slacking in my blog posting lately. I guess there's just nothing new going on :(
I'm here at home w/the kids and Vince is still working at Metals Fabrication Inc...same old, different day!
I have, however, made some new friends in my church! I love going to playgroup and socializing and getting to know the ladies better!

My parents finally found a house and close today or tomorrow. Moving in this weekend!!!!

We are moving along w/finalizing L's adoption :) Our new deadline is by Christmas, so finger's crossed.
All that's left to do now is the SW completing of PW and us turning in the PW for adoption support!

So, sorry nothing really exciting and new to report, except my adorable new nephew!!!!

Halloween

We had a blast this Halloween! Bug is at such a fun age and he was so excited to go trick-or-treating!
This is also our first Halloween w/L too!
Bug was a Giraffe (not a COW) and L was a Witch!


PUMPKIN CARVING:
We didn't carve pumpkins until Halloween!
Bug was so eager to help and he did a great job "wink, wink".
He didn't like cleaning out the pumpkin seeds and getting dirty :)

PUMPKIN PATCH:

Halloween morning we were so excited to take the kids to Greenbluff to Siemers Pumpkin Patch. They have a huge slide, hay rides, train, maze and tons of other awesome stuff!

We pulled in at about 10am....AND THEY WERE CLOSED FOR THE SEASON!

So, we looked for another place w/fun stuff for the kids. We found Walter's in Greenbluff and it turned out great! They didn't have a lot of activities, but they did have the wiggle worm train for the lil one's, a corn maze, goats, bbq and a sand box (filled w/peas) for the kids to play in!

We payed $3 for Bug to ride the wiggle worm. It was awesome and Bug LOVED IT!

Playgroup Costume Party!

On Friday we went to our playgroup's costume party! It was a potluck so there was lots of food!!! The kids played a game of musical chairs (a peice of paper was the chair) and just ran around and had lots of fun!

In a slump of sorts...

First let me say that I'm not calling a pity party here. I just thought I'd share my adventures of being a homemaker.

It's been tough lately. The kids are always fighting w/each other and I'm yelling at them so much. My throat hurts!
Bug won't listen worth anything and neither will L. She copies and wants everything that Bug does/have. That's getting annoying.
L always screams when she doesn't get her way; it's getting very old! She's too little for time outs, but I think I am going to start putting her in her crib for a little down time.
All Bug does is whine, whine, whine!!!! Arrrrrrrggggggggg!!!!!!

I have been in my pjs/bath robe for like most of this week! I KNOW! I swore that I would never be one of those mommies who didn't take care of themselves...and I have!
I hardly wear make-up and enjoy it when I do :) It makes me feel good. It's just a lot of effort to go through when I don't leave the house for days.

I've been feeling lonely, although I have many friends! It's just difficult and a lot of work to get the kids ready to go hang out w/anyone!

I've been trying to cut down my pop intake a ton and am feeling the effects of it...badly! I like to stay up late, but w/out the caffeine it's more difficult and then I suffer more the next day.

I love my ward and we've been in it for 2 1/2 yrs, but I haven't had a calling for almost a whole year! I have been enjoying time w/L during church but am ready to put her in nursery!

It's hard to find motivation to keep up my house. I do my best, but the dishes are wearing me down :(

I feel very blessed to stay at home w/my babies but this TRULY is the toughest job EVER!!!!

The Daily Stuff

Wow, it's been a little bit since my last post (at least for me).
I really haven't had much to post about lately. We're still waiting to get an adoption date; it shouldn't be too much longer :)

Meanwhile:
I've just been enjoying the daily activities of my little ones!
Most days, Dom gets up and watches cartoons or plays his games. He turns everything on all by himself, including plugging in his game system!
I lay in bed until L won't let me sleep any longer!!!
I feed the kids whatever is closest to breakfast and the play together until L's naptime.
I put L down about noon and sometimes Dom will take a nap! I enjoy some much anticpated quiet time, while watching Days of our Lives ( I know, I shouldn't watch soap opperas)! Then around 2pm, I watch Let's Make a Deal (new-reformed game show hosted by Wayne Brady).
The kids are up at this point and just play for a while! I feed them lunch, do any laundry that's needs done and wait for my sweet hubby to get home, where I am trying to relinquish control of the TV a little bit for him.

I am so sick of toys! I step on them! I pick them up and they're right back on the floor before I can turn around!

I am happy though! We are all happy and healthy and just enjoying our lives together!

Oh! Vince and I got approved for a loan modification on our mtg and this has dropped our mtg down about $400! We are very happy about this and it's allowing us to stay in our house a little longer!
Vince recently brought it to my attention that he may be getting laid off Dec or Jan. So, he's been looking and searching for a more stable job. He's submitted an application and we'll see what happens. This company has good benefits and would allow me to have insurance!

Well, that's all the updates for now :) I'll try to post some pics in a little bit!

"L" 15 months & Case update

I can't believe how long we've had L (9 months) and she's already 15 months old!
Per her check-up yesterday, here are the results:
She weighs 22 lbs 15 oz
She's 30 inches long
She's in the 50% for weight and head circumference and 25% for her height!
So basically, she's perfect!!!!

So right now, Vince & I have completed our physicals, fingerprints and home study interview. We have one more home study interview in a couple of weeks.
The SW is working on transfering the case (which is 10 volumes of PW in binders) to the adoptions department. I had hoped that she would have done this weeks ago, but I'm on to her now :)
A volume is considered ONE binder of PW (info on the birth parents). So, there's a lot of info to be transfered, copied, transfered and then given to us!
We're still shooting for the adoption by the end of Nov. I hope it happens!

The other day Bug brought all of his bedding out to the living room for quiet time. He brought like 8 stuffed animals...had to have them all!



Yeah......he really isn't alseep, but it's a nice thought!

Spokane Fair

Highlights from the Fair this year were mostly the animals. Now that we have children we have to make that the main attraction. Dom was very good and loved the animals! He wanted to pet them all!
L was not as fond of touching them.
