The Climb

My girl Viv loves to climb! She tries to climb everything and now her newest trick is climbing into her walker by herself. I realized that she could do this one day when she was pushing the walker from behind and went she came back by she was inside it! I couldn't believe she could do that!Here she is this morning before the climb, just warming up a little!Now she starts the climb, look at the determination in her eyes, her hand grasping ever so tightly to the other side of the walker! And today's journey wasn't so successful. She got both legs in one leg hole. Well, maybe next time champ!

My birthday!

Matt took me to Cheever's last night for my birthday dinner, it was soooo good! This is me wiping my mouth with the tablecloth, which I did on accident. Matt couldn't stop laughing so we replayed it for a picture!

Here's my birthday cake that was so awesome! It's huge, so I still have most of it left in my fridge! What a fun night, Matty totally suprised me with where we went, gorgeous flowers, and he even got me a spa day gift certificate for Cottonwood! Massage, facial and pedicure here I come! Thanks Matty!

In other news, I quit my job at the real estate office so now I'm officially a freelance photographer. Please refer me if you hear anyone talking about weddings! I'm excited to be able to stay at home with Viv and get ready for baby number 2!

UPDATE: Thanks to my friend Amy Walker who volunteered to watch Viv! Oh, and what's up with everybody voting that I'm having a boy??

Would anyone (that I actually know in real life that I trust) like to watch Viv for me tomorrow? I'm assuming that Sonshine School is cancelled and I have to work. It would be from 9:30-2:30. Please let me know!

This weekend

This weekend my parents came to town because Matt wanted to take dad to a Thunder game. Mom and I went to dinner and of course went shopping while the guys were at the game. The next day, mom, Viv and I went to the mall and then we all had dinner at Charlestons. No one threw up this time, so it was good!

Saturday night we played 90's Trivial Pursuit, girls against the boys and me and mom won! It was so much having them here and Viv absolutely loves them! She can't get enough of her granny. These are some pics today taken at lunch with Matty's phone. My little kodak camera won't work now, so I'm gonna have to get out the big camera all the time. Or...my birthday's coming up in a couple of weeks, hint hint. Anyway, it was a great weekend! Love you mom and dad!

4.How did you find out? I figured that I hadn't been calculating right and that I was late so I stopped by Walgreens on the way home from work and got a test. I took it alone at home.

14. Did you have any complications during pregnancy? No, other than she was frank breech and her head was very uncomfortably placed under my rib.

19. Was it natural or c-section? C-section. I was very upset when I heard that she was breech and I'd have to do a c-section, but it worked out fine.
20. Did you take medication to ease the pain? No I just let them hack me open with no meds. Just kidding, of course I had pain medicine!
21. How much did your child weigh? 8 lbs, 6 oz
22. Did your child have any complications? Not really, just had a little jaundice and had loose hips so she wore a hip brace for the first few months.
23. What did you name her? Vivian Mae
24. How old is your first born today? 4 days shy of 14 months!!

AHHH!

Viv's Sonshine school teacher asked me today if I could make Vivian's mac and cheese a little less messy for her to eat. Sure, and after that I'll achieve world peace, solve world hunger and fix that whole global warming thing.

Spaghetti and a 1 year old

Viv loves feeding herself and most of the time it's not too bad...except when it's spaghetti! I've never seen such a gorgeous orange face in my life!

Needless to say it was bath time after this and I actually rolled her in the high chair down the hall so that I wouldn't have to carry her all the way to the bathroom with all of that on her!

Anyway, she enjoyed herself and she enjoyed my cornbread as well. She's a hungry girl!

In other news, I go for my twelve week doctor's appointment tomorrow. Only two more days of being on the progesterone pills. At my first appt. they said my progesterone levels were a little low so I have been on the prescription since last month. What's funny is that anyone I told about it asked if it was a suppository. I didn't tell all that many people, but I swear that they all asked the same question. Melody asked me that on Sunday and when I said that I took it orally, she wanted to know if it was the kind that dissolved under the tongue. That's when I got worried. Apparently know one knows about the kind that you just swallow. So I started thinking, what if my pills are supposed to be suppositories and I've been swallowing them for a month!! What would that do to me?? Anyway, after BK I went home and double checked my prescription and they were just regular pills that you take with a glass of water. What a relief! Sorry if I looked freaked out Melody, now you know why!

What Viv's Been Up To

I thought since my last post was so gross, I would update you on some good things that Viv has been doing. She loved riding the carousel at Quail Springs mall and sat very still! Not sure what was happening with the camera on that second one, but it still kind of turned out cute.

She also loves facing forward in her big girl car seat!

She has just started to love playing with dolls. She always hugs them really tightly! This one is one of her favorites because he giggles when you push his stomach.

She looks so grown up carrying a baby doll!

Even when she's trying to suffocate him, it's still cute. Just don't get any ideas about holding babies like this once the new one comes!

In other news, she can hold my hand and walk across the room, stand by herself for a little while, and walk from the couch to the ottoman.
She also got three more teeth for a total of 11! She is growing up too fast!
