5 months old!

I say this all the time, but I really can't believe Calla is already 5 months old.  She is sitting up by herself and scoots herself around (by spinning or scooting backwards) all over the place.  She's eating like a champ and loves everything we have tried so far.  She's still getting up once for a small bottle but we're hoping we can wean her off that soon.  She's slowly getting into a predictable nap routine but still easily takes 3-4 naps a day. She LOVES Sophie and Jackson. They can get her to laugh better than anyone else can.  She's a happy, smiling little girl!

Lynx game

Oma, Sophie & I were given Lynx tickets in a box by some of Tom and Jan's neighbors.  MK graciously babysat Jackson and Calla so we could have this night out and let Sophie have some one on one time.  We had such a great time and saw a huge win.  They are fun to watch and are really good this season.  I love taking Sophie to these things so she can see all the different things girls can do.  She even got a Lindsay Whalen tshirt and tells everyone who will listen that Whalen used to go to play for the Gophers. It's pretty cute.

Opa's surprise

Sophie LOVES baking shows, especially Cake Boss and DC Cupcakes.  Besides loving watching the shows, they each have a "Sophie" on them which she thinks is pretty cool.  Opa went to DC for work and stopped at the cupcake store from the show and brought some cupcakes and a t-shirt home from Sophie.  She was SO excited!

Twins game with the guys

Mike, Greg & Peterson took Sophie and Jackson to a Twins game.  I might have been a little nervous as Jackson is a wanderer :)  but everyone seemed to have a great time and the kids did good.  Mike even took some pictures.  It was a good outing for the kids as we've had a crazy couple of weeks.

4th of July

We didn't do anything too crazy for the holiday but had a great day of just hanging out as a family.  We spent the morning at a kiddie pool and then took a walk to a lock & dam on the Mississippi River.  The kids loved it and it was fun just being outside.  Everyone gets along so much better when we're out and about :)
