Caden's Birthday

Caden turned 1 and Granpa Arthur turned.... well I don't want to get into trouble, lets just say he is a little older than Cade. :)

Caden got this really cool allilgator for his birthday. The picture is below. Granpa Arthur thought it might be fun as a skateboard.... Okay, so Granpa Arthur was really trying to use it as a skateboard it just happened to be in the way when he was walking and he ALMOST caught himself. Caden thought it was pretty funny to see grandpa fall and started mocking grandpa. below is the video.

Things have been kind of crazy with the holiday season, but I thought I would take a minute and post some pictures and wish every one a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

Trey is now into transformers, it is the old school cartoon that he likes most, which makes his Daddy happy to watch them with him. He watches them at you tube. The other night we came in to check on him, because he hadn't been in to tell us he needed another one, and here is a picture of how we found him.

We were moving furniture out of our basement so we could carpet clean the floors, caden was left upstairs with Trey, we came up to check on them and Caden had found Treys lick-a-stick. He was mad that we had left him there by himself that is what the tears are from, but he loved the pure sugar.

Here are Cade and Trey chasing each other around the house. Cade tries to run and is starting to get it down. Lucky for me he is not to fast yet :)

Caden has started to walk. Here is a little video clip of him walking to get Grandma.

I also made the boys costumes this year. I found out a couple of things from doing this:

1. I am not that patient.

2. My kids are not that patient.

3. Its a good thing I am not a perfectionist.

4. I should never take an occupation that requires me to sew a straight line. :)

Below is a picture of the costumes. I made leroy a costume as well. But I didn't get a picture on my digital camera of all three of them. Leroys work did take pictures of them and when I get them scaned in I will post them. The boys were Dash and JackJack from The Incredibles. Leroy was Mr. Incredible.

I know I know it has been a while since my last post. Cade is now 7 months old and crawling like crazy. He goes up the stairs but hasn't mastered going down them yet. He loves to be wherever big brother is, which most of the time Trey loves. Below are some random pictures that have been taken some with the cousins over the past few months.

We went to Blanding on the 27th of July for Leroy's vacation. My Grandpa and Grandma hurst let us stay in their 5th wheel while we were there Grandpa took Trey on a ride in the Kenworth truck, and on the tractor. Trey loved it.

Here is my baby brother, he was born on the 23rd of Jan. He was a skinny little guy at 10 lbs 3 oz, 21 in long Caden Lee Darling. Because I was named after Grandpa Arthur, Caden thought he had to come on Grandpa's birthday. I am really good with him until he cries, and then I freak out and think I need to be held as well. Mom is very greatful that dad is home and able to help out, and that Grandma and Grandpa are close.

Christmas

Well, I guess it is time for my quarterly post. Trey is doing great, his baby brother is due the end of this month, which he is not to overly excited about. Below are some Christmas pictures, Grandma Darling, Aunt Debbie & Brenda, and Uncle Don, were all able to make it out here for Christmas.
