MBA/HRM

I have a Master's Degree! Three weeks ago I finished my last class for my master's degree. I recieved my degree in Business Administration with a Human Resources Management concentration. I learned a lot during this program, and I am very glad that I did it. It was tough at times just like getting any education is. I want to thank my Dad for all that he has done for me in helping me with homework; I would call him up at anytime with random questions and he always willing to help me talk it out and get my mind going in the right direction. I wouldn't be who I am today or where I am today if it wasn't for my father always telling me how important an education is, and once you have it nobody can take it away from you, he is exactly right. Thanks Dad for all that you do for me. My Mom and sister have been right there as well, making sure I do my homework. Taya was my saving grace during my accounting and finance class, thanks Taya and Hyrum for all your help. Commencement ceremonies are this Saturday, I am excited to walk across that stage for this great accomplishment! Pictures coming after this weekend!

Hunting 2010

I know it has been quite some time since I have updated my blog so I will do that NOW before I get consumed with all the holiday business coming up! First to talk about is the hunts of the year. First of all we started out with barely getting our NEW fifth wheel the week before we were leaving on the elk hunt. ( sorry no picture yet) The elk hunt started on Saturday October 9th, we went up a day and a half early. We go up early so Friday we can sleep in for one day (get up early on the hunt) and the boys go and get firewood so we can have a fire when we get back from hunting. We were successful on this hunt. Kameron got his Cow Elk, so we have some meat in the freezer. I love Elk meat! We should of had a spike elk but the sun was shinning just so that when Kameron tried to find the spike in his scope the sun made it so he couldn't even see it, all he could see was sunshine. So he went and grab his ball cap out of the back pack to put on to block the sun. He then shot at the elk, this was a long shot, and missed. Then the start elk walked up to the ridge line, spike then bull elk with two cows surrounding it so we couldn't shoot. They are so smart!

Then we were off down south by Moab to hunt for deer. It was Kameron's dad, Kameron, and myself. All three of us had a deer tag this year. I got my deer opening morning. Opening morning was so slow, we were thinking we were going to leave deer less. We went back to the trailer, took a nap and ate some lunch. Decided that we might as well go back out since that is what we were down there for. We were driving along the road and Kameron sees some does and fawns so we stop. All the sudden Kameron yells at me "There's a buck, Tonya get out and shoot." So I get out of the truck as quickly and quietly as I can. Walk over to the other side of the truck and put my gun up. I am shaking to death, look at Kameron and he is saying "shoot it, Tonya shoot it now". I ask Kameron if I can kneel down so I have a steadier shot, he said "NO you need to shoot now." So I put my gun up take a deep breath and pull the trigger!!! I hit it on the first shot but it was trying to get up and run but couldn't. I hit it in the back and probably broken its spin. So Kameron shot it and it dropped like a ton of bricks. Remind you that I took so long to shoot that Kameron's dad was sitting in the back seat of the truck, telling him to get out and shoot it cause I was taking so long!!! ha ha So we walk down to where the deer is at and it is steal breathing, so I told Kameron to shoot and put it out of his misery, so he did! So that is the story of me getting my first Buck. I wont go into the details of cleaning in it! :) O it was a little two point. Not to big but good enough for my first deer. Here is a cute pictures!

Vegas...Birthday...Carrie Underwood

Myself, Kameron, Taya, and Hyrum went to Vegas over my birthday weekend. This year is the only year I can remember that my birthday didn't fall on memorial weekend, so I wanted to do something fun and different for my birthday this year, Vegas it was! We had a great time doing whatever we wanted, laying out at the pool, shopping, and we went to the Carrie Underwood concert while we were down there. I am a fan club member and put in to meet Carrie Underwood, which I did. She is just as beautiful in person as she is on T.V. and sounds just as good in concert as she does on her CD or on the radio, she is an amazing women.

Weekend Full of Christmas Fun!!!!

This past weekend was full of so much Christmas fun. On Friday night myself, Kameron, Taya, Hyrum, and our dad went to Kurt Bestor. It was AMAZING, if you ever have the opportunity to go and see Kurt Bestor do it! We went and saw Mannheim Steamrollers a few weeks prior and Kurt was by far much better. Then Saturday I had my dance studio's Christmas dance recital, seemed to go smoothly. After that Taya, Dad, and I spent the afternoon down town, met up with my Aunt and Uncle and got to go to the church concert with Natalie Cole, and the Tabernacle Choir. So a lot of fun Christmas things to do to get us in the spirit. Dad and I at Kurt Bestor, Dad and Taya at Kurt Bestor Cute Taya and Hyrum, Kameron and I; so cute! Happy Holidays to everyone!

My friend Jen and I got tickets to go to So You Think You Can Dance! We were headed in and one of the dancers sisters asked us if we would like backstage passes, OF course we do! This is us with Randi (her sister gave us the passes) and she is from Orem Utah. She represented UTAH well!

They were all so nice and sweet! We couldnt believe how short and small they all were. I acutally felt like I was a normal size around them, LOL! We had a blast, it is so amazing to see them dance in person! SYTYCD ROCKS!

Hunting 2009!

Here are a few picture's from the Elk hunt this year. This was my first year hunting elk, and I was successful! I shot my cow Elk on opening morning at about 8 am, about 125 yards, with a 30 ot 6. With Kameron's trophy type guide service, he got me in on this elk, which had a Bull, and about 4 or 5 other cow's and a calf. It was an awesome experience, it is an adrenaline rush. I am so excited to have some elk meat to eat for the year!

This show was amazing, if you ever get the chance to go to an airshow and see the Thunderbirds, it is amazing! My dad talked myself, Kameron, Taya, and Hyrum into going and I am so glad he did. We had a blast, Kameron and I will be going back when they come again! If I ever had to opportunity to ride in a jet, I would do it in a hearbeat. It would be a once in a lifetime experience!
