If you or anyone you know is looking for a cute reception center to have your wedding,
The Gardens at Dry Creek in Lehi is the place!
They offer ANY service, so if you are looking to have your wedding, family reunion, company party or any other event at the center, 'Like' them on Facebook and book right away!
Not only is the indoor center beautiful, but the outdoor gardens are breathtaking as well.
However, the most special part about this place to me is the experienced, wonderful, lovely mother of mine who will be taking care of you as you plan your event.

I am trying not to feel victimized, but detach myself from something that I poured endless emotions into. I haven't wanted to feel disconnected and certainly need to start sometime soon.
Sometimes in the middle of the night when everyone is fast asleep in their beds and even the city noise has quieted to a mere hum, I’ll lie awake and watch the darkness. I feel alone, but not when someone is holding me close to them, our limbs pressed together so tightly that not even an air particle can pass between us.
I am completely possessed, pretending and foolishly hugging my pillow tightly.
You can hold my hand and whisper soothing words in my ear, or catch a glimpse of me, and see the side effects of all this in the dark shadows beneath my eyes and my small, strained voice. And that cold chill that begins at my forehead and travels down my spinal chord, the pressure that pushes against my ribcage, that, you will never feel. That is mine. My plight is mine. My existence is mine. I am mine and mine alone.
And it’s a very wonderful thing sometimes knowing that every inch of me, every eyelash, every hair follicle, every skin cell is mine, and every exquisitely written memory of life belongs to me. Conversely, it is also where loneliness comes into the world. Being alone opens the door for loneliness.
I hate to say this, but nothing could be truer: existing is a very lonely business, but only if you make it that way.

In the midst of these hellish days I'm having, I have figured that I am lacking because I am slacking.
I have appreciated all of the words in the last month, and please, show no concern, because life is life, and it is hard and conditional and exhausting, but my goodness it is beautiful.
In the last four weeks I have never felt more destroyed and more inadequate than ever.
I am saying goodbye to parts of me and my life that I've held onto for so long.
I can't quite say that things are back in order, but I can say that with the lowest of low moments, there also have been some highlights of life that I will never forget.
I am slowly being comforted and repaired and at peace, slowly..

here I am,
trying to be less connected.

and here I am with a twitter account

I want to smack myself.

I almost have nothing to say about things,
other than it's giving me a mental stomach ache.
and I'm just still remembering to have faith and to keep praying.
Sometimes – like today – I feel grateful for life to place such amazing people on my path.
Looking for someone to give me that confidence I need. And to remind me not forget about my dreams ever again, to not erase myself just to please someone else.
I hope it'll be like looking at myself through a window and realizing potential that I can make it right.

My room is quite a mess today, but instead of the planned tidy-up, I ended up staying in bed all day.
I listened to beautiful music, looked at some lovely books, wrote in my journal, and rather evidently, looked at my feet.
The books and earrings and clothes and cameras on my bed will have to wait a little before they find a neat place!

I have litttle hopes for this year so far.
Last years word: Comfortable.
I have spring wishes already, and I'm wanting a retreat in the mountains with my family and friends so badly.
Some short term goals involve a lot of napping, drinking water, getting good grades, reading, baking, taking photographs and my long term list is still a little secret.

My ultimate goal this year: Think more of myself and less about myself.

What are some of your goals for this year?

I have to share
an incredible photostream.
It is stefanyalves, and her photos are extraordinary.
My favorite series is her breakfast series.

Breakfast:

Lunch:

Dinner:

This sugar cookie hangover is just too good.
On my corner of the earth, there is no such thing as being too busy seeing the world through a new Christmas camera. Thank you mom and dad. It’s not alwasy easy to see the beautiful things around us when we live so fast. But sometimes, it feels good to slow down, doesn’t it?
You make holidays everything that they are to me.

I will keep my fingers crossed and my hands tied to the computer for a more efficient writing one day, I swear. Life is bringing good things--amazing things. Long talks with loved ones, opening brown paper packages tied up with strings, plans to see a new born baby this week (there is nothing on earth better than a new born baby) and endless sweets.

They say it’s going to snow again this week. Grey and golden avenues will turn into cotton once again.
Now, I just keep my fingers crossed, wearing a new thick yellow scarf and warm boots that I'm ready for the magic to happen after a fogged Christmas. I am ready for the end of 2010.
Like my sister, I am coming up with a word for my year.
Still searching for that word..
