Christmas Morning at Home

We got to spend Christmas morning at home.  The kids slept in...in fact I had to wake them so we could open presents before going to the movies.   For the 2nd year in a row we went to the movies on Christmas Day.  Not very many people joined us and it was SO COLD!  But the new Star Wars movie was really good.  Fun tradition!

Christmas with the Fam

We got to spend some time in Abilene for Christmas.  Everyone was there.  Nana had a new fun swing for the kids.  They said it was like a roller coaster!    We played games and even had Saran Wrap balls full of prizes for the kids to unwrap.  So glad Jami takes good pics.  It's always fun to look back on pics from years past.

 We also got to spend time in New Home.  Mamme bought all sorts of slime making supplies.  The girls had a blast.  Karson got in on the fun too!  The kids had a Saran Wrap ball and it got vicious!  We enjoyed our time there.

Christmas together is a blessing.  Seeing how much everyone has grown and jsut spending time together is priceless.

Ugly Christmas Sweater Party

Our youth group had an Ugly Sweater party for Christmas.  So much fun!!  Boo and I found ours at Walmart.  Plenty ugly, but not as ugly as Karsons!  He made his himself for last year's party.  He got a sweater vest from the Goodwill and dug through all of my old decorations for things to hot glue on.  Yep...UGLY!  He and Landon were the winners. 

Band Concert

The Christmas band concert was the week before we got out for break.  Reagyn did a great job!  She was one of two flutes and they played every note perfectly!  Thankful Nana got to join us.

How about THIS jacket?!?  Someone is excited about filling it up with patches. :)

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving was different this year.  The Zants all came in for a playoff football game so we had Thanksgiving with them at the Midland Hotel restaurant in Hico.  It was delish and no one had to cook or clean up!  And did I take a single pic?!?  Nope.  :(

Then we went to Abilene for our first holiday in Nana's new house.  Thankfully Jami keeps us on track when it comes to pics.  We got some good ones of the kiddos!  Easton had a hard time smiling for pics but we still got one good enough for a canvas for Nana's Christmas!

So Thanksgiving was different this year but definitely good.  Family, food and fun!  Can't beat it.  So much to be thankful for...

Gregory Gathering

Our annual Gregory gathering was at Jim and Jana's in Brownfield.  It was so good to see everyone!  Only missing a few.  Glad we got pics...we aren't promised tomorrow.  Pretty amazing what the family has become all because these two fell in love!  Their love for each other and ultimately the Lord can been seen in all of us....passed down to their children, then to us and we are instilling it in our children.  What a testimony!  Love you Mom-o & Dan-o!!

 

JH One Act Play

Reagyn decided to try OAP this year and did an awesome job!  She was Nancy, an 8 year old girl in the play We Danced Real Slow in Jackson.  She came out of her shell and seem to enjoy herself.  Hico came in 2nd in the district meet.  So proud of her!!  

Mamme, DadDad and Karson got to come to the dress rehearsal at the Elementary.

 Nana, Lanny and I got to see her at Hamilton at the district competition.  She was the best Nancy I've ever seen!!

Halloween

Boo was the only one who really got into Halloween this year.  Well, I was a minion along with all of the school employees.  Our principal was Gru.  Pretty funny but I'll save you from the silly pics!  Thanks to Ashlie letting us borrow, Reagyn had the best costume this year!  She was a Rockford Peach from the movie A League of Their Own about women baseball players  Perfect costume for her!!  Plus she made a cute jack-o-lantern that says Boo at the bottom.  Love her!!

FFA

How about that jacket?!?  Love this pic.  Karson is an officer in our FFA chapter this year...Student Adviser.  I'm not sure he has enjoyed those duties but in class he has discovered a new love--wood and metal working.  He loves working with his hands!

 He helped make this for the FFA auction in October.  Pretty cool if you ask me!!

Football - Love My #56

Karson's sophomore year in football was a fun one!  With then new coaching staff coming in, Karson wasn't thrilled about playing.  So glad he gave it a chance.  They are a great group of men who are needed leaders for our kids.  Karson earned a starting spot on the varsity offensive line.  He played on defense as well.  He was recognized as Lineman of the Week as wells as Offensive Player of the Week throughout the season.  Finally he was First Team All District Offensive Line.  Pretty awesome honor for a sophomore!!!  Love my #56   

 This season Karson reached another milestone...he's taller than Lanny!!

 So thankful for all the family support in the stands each week!  Love that Mamme and DadDad and Nana!!

So thankful for a great season with a positive atmosphere.  Looking forward to next year!!
