A butterfly exhibit came to Brannen and the girls got to walk in a tent full of butteflies, put honey on their fingers,and hold them! So fun! 

 

Calli had her follow-up visit at Texas Children's last week from her accident. Everything checked out great and other than still being on tight restrictions until June 16th, she doesn't have to be seen again! I saw her scans for the first time - just crazy to see that bleeding and her fracture. We are so, so thankful.

We got a brand new Krogers and they have kid-sized shopping carts! Calli loves them! The backs of my heels do not.

We celebrated Michelle's birthday in April! In addition to the for real present we got her, the girls got to go shopping for her at the dollar store. It was so fun to see what each of them picked out. They are so funny.

Calli's class did a whole unit on butterflies and she just loved it! I think she makes a pretty cute butterfly.

We surprised the girls with a few April Fool's jokes. They were SO not impressed. Mostly just confused.

Kindergarten Safety Day

Cooper had Safety Day in Kindergarten in April! Safety Day is where the kids have to be able to say their phone number and address, and then they are given their "Brannen Driver's License." Once they have that, they are able to ride their bikes around the track at the school, stop for some snacks, and practice following traffic signs. It's a super cute event and Cooper was READY! She had her address and phone number down and was excited to bring her bike to school. Randy and I were both able to volunteer and just bring Calli, so we loved watching her. The kids also got to check out a fire truck and a swat team truck. Fun day!

Randy was a Watch Dog that day, so the girls got to be on the announcements with him. They even got to hold the flags for the pledges!

Camp KMotion!

Our church's overnight camp for first and second graders is called Camp KMotion. It is at the church, and this is Kendall's second year to attend and mine and Randy's second year to volunteer. It's such a fun night and we love getting to be a part of it! Kendall was so excited this year to go back and was much more confident than last year! 

Gotcha Day #3

April 8 was Calli's three year Gotcha Day! We love celebrating this every year and can't believe it's already been three years! We had a small party at home, with Chinese food, the Pickerings, Erskines, Michelle, and the Mitterlings. We gave Calli one of the presents we picked our for her in China, ate cake and ice cream, and looked back in her baby book, remembering our time in China. So special!

March Misc

Just a few extra pictures from March: 

After Calli's accident, I was able to sneak away with Cooper and Kendall and take them to use pedicure gift cards they had from Christmas. I had been missing them while we were in the hospital, so it was so good to have some time just with them. And Cooper loved her very first pedicure!

Posing in last year's Easter outfits before church the Sunday after Calli's accident. She was given that bear at the hospital and decided to name him "Rodeo." Love it!

Just a random picture of some crazy Dane and Mitterling kids! These 6 are more like siblings than friends and we just love it!

William Johnson

Our new nephew and cousin, William Johnson, was born March 25th, 2016! Stephen is now a big brother and we are overjoyed for them! We are heading to Ft. Worth next weekend to finally get to meet William and we just can't wait! 

We have face timed with him, but we're just so excited to get to snuggle him and his big brother!

Easter Weekend 2016

In the interest of getting caught up, I'm going to throw several posts up on the blog with mostly pictures (hello....it's May and I'm still working on posting about Easter). We had a great Easter weekend with a visit from Gigi and Peeps from Thursday to Saturday, and a visit from Pops and Kiki from Saturday to Monday. It was wonderful to have family here to celebrate Easter and we had so much fun hunting eggs, going to the strawberry patch, and celebrating at church! 

Cooper and Calli both hunted eggs at school, but we weren't able to be there for either of their hunts because of conflicts. I'm thankful for these pictures my friend Ashley took for me of Cooper!
