White elephant gift like you have never seen before!

Last Saturday was Jeff's work Christmas party. And of course there was a white elephant gift exchange. Jeff picked his bosses present. As he went to grab it, his boss John says oh be careful with it, What could it be something breakable??? Oh no!! A frenkin real Lobster staring at us as he opens the lid. I screamed!!! it was so nasty, everyone was rolling with laughter. I have to admit very creative and funny, but very sick and wrong at the same time.

An Arizona Snow Man!

So probably about 4 or 5 years ago. Jeff and I were driving around looking at Christmas lights and we saw this HUGE i mean HUGE tumble weed snow man the arms were shovels just to give you an imagine of how tall this guy was. Of course we stopped and took a picture of it. I looked everywhere for the picture to but on here but couldn't find it. Well anyways the other day we woke up to find a bunch of tumble weeds in our yard. So.... Jeff built us an Snow man. LOL how white trash does it look? But i think its so funny and perfect for where we live. I want to spray paint it white like the one we saw so many years ago.

Our Christmas Tree!

It was my goal to take tons of pictures this December as we got ready for Christmas I wanted to remeber our 1st christmas together. YA did not happen!!!! I guess I still have a week. But i'm still sad. With a new job, family and just life we have been sooo busy this last month. Anyways we set up our tree the day after Thanksgiving! Thanks to my aunt we have a cute little 4 foot tree!! :)We set our tree up on our coffee table to give it a little more height We had so much decorating the little tree. I had more pictures but stinkin Jeff was in his G's and I didn't relize the whole time I was taling pictures. Merry Christmas everyone we love you and hope things are well!

7.) I hate Birth Control it makes me so fat and moody I wish guys had to take birth control and not girls.
6.) My new Favorite show is America's next Top Model. I watched a whole season in one day when i was sick and now I'm hooked. Jeff and I even practiced our next top model poses.
5.) I'm back on my Hard Taco kick, I crave them 24/7. Lets see how long it last this time, the record to beat is 3 months! (I'm not kidding)
4.) Jeff wrote an awesome Country Song and were making a music video for it. (I knew i would never grow out of music videos)
3.)I changed my mind I'm not ready to have a baby!!!!!!
2.) I want to be Carrie Underwood or Taylor Swift. Its a tie right now.
1.) I can go weeks without shaving anything, too bad I have a husband who thinks that's nasty! :)

Bitter Sweet

So this is kinda random but all who know me will not think twice that I'm making a post about Gilmore girls. It was a bitter sweet day when Season 7 the final season of Gilmore Girls came out on DVD. Jeff has always thought I was crazy cause i have this odd emotional connection to the show. It's true though, I wish we had a video as all of us girls sat around the TV and watch the final episode in Tears! Ha ha I laugh now but man that was one SAD day! But finally on Friday I completed my collection season 1 - 7 of Gilmore Girls! Jeff could only laugh and Roll his eyes as I sat on the floor just looking at it. I was so excited I would not stop giggling all the way home from target! Kelsey spent the night on Saturday and we watch the final episode together and again cried! Laugh if you must but I LOVE GILMORE GIRLS!

Our Cruise

We had so much fun on our cruise. We left on Monday the 5th and got back Friday. Monday we got on the boat around 3, we walked around and ate lunch, this was the start of eating way too much! That night we went to dinner and met our dinner group. we had mostly older couples but they were so nice and we loved it. After that was the night show, they had a comedian Named Carl Banks. He was really funny and clean. Jeff loved it cause he was in an episode of Seinfeld :) The Next day was San Diego, we rode a tour bus down town and did some shopping then heading back to the boat. (we were kinda sick of san Diego since this was the tired time in 4 months we had been there) They lots of fun things to do on the boat, rock wall, gym, basketball ping pon. We kept our selves very busy. That night was dress up night, that was fun to get dressed up and go to dinner. I brought the dress I wore almost 2 years ago in my friends wedding. Ya lets just say I forgot to try it on before we left..... it was tight!!!! :( Day three was Catalina Island, We rented bikes and road around the Island, it was a blast. I started to feel really sick that night and ran a fever all night, poor Jeff had to sit up with me all night and finally gave me a blessing around 3am and I slept the rest of the night, this kinda but a damper on the trip but I was determined to still have fun. It was really cloudy and overcast all week, I think that’s what got me sick I was not ready for cold weather. Day 4 was Mexico, it really wasn't that great just dirty Mexico shops, but we had fun walking around. I thought it was a great vacation (besides being sick) I want to go again!

Good Days

I was going through all of my pictures from the last few months trying to get them all organized and on CD's when suddenly it hit me hard, I have the best family ever!!!! They have always been there for me, its no surprise to say that this last year has been full of ups and downs for me, but they were always there for me:

Emilee, one of my best friends and free place to stay in Hawaii ha ha. It was a well needed get away going to Hawaii in April. I love everything about that place but mostly the time I was able to share with my sisters Emilee and Allyce.

My beautiful, full of energy grandma aka best friend second mother. I can't thank her enough for all the long comforting talks she has had with me, nothing makes me happier than going over to her house and seeing her loving smile! This was a few months ago at my grandpas grave, she loves him so much! What a great example of never ending love!

Bad days suddenly aren't so bad when you come home from school to see your mom, sis, bro and niece sitting in an empty play pool just sitting around talking. March 07

Look what I made!

So let it be no secret that yes I struggle with this whole wife thing. No one ever tells you how suddenly you have to cook and clean a WHOLE HOUSE! Oh wait I think thats what my mom as been trying to teach me when she said, "Amy, if you just hang up your clothes when you take them off your room would stay clean". But still this is hard work! Within the first month of our marriage I knew it was time to attempt a real meal. you know one that you don't just add water too. So I tried to make a Lasagna in the crock pot I read the directions step by step and got it all put together before I went to work. It said cook for 6 hours, perfect that would be right when I got home from work and about an half hour before Jeff got home. As I walked into my house after work suddenly the smell of burnt pasta stung my nose! Dang it how is that possible! As I open the lid I burst into tears. (oh ya thats another thing no one warned me of being suddenly very emotional about everything) I called my mom to tell her the very bad news! After telling her everything i did and what it looked like and how i had cooked it just the right amount of time it said to, she told me oh no i'm sure its still good the top might just look brown. After that i felt a little better and cut out a piece. and here we go more tears, the whole thing was BLACK!!!! I texted a picture of it to my mom which quickly followed a phone call from her, all I could hear was uncontrollable laughter from the other end and "ya honey I think its ruined" THANKS MOM! So after that terrible cooking experience I have sworn off cooking of any kind and poor wonderful Jeff as taken care of all of that until now........ One Sunday after a lesson on how to be good wife's (like they all seem to be about) I felt it was time to try again. So I opened the cook book and made Banana bread! after again following the directions step by step and about 45 min later, pure joy came out of my oven! I did it!!!! It turned out good! Jeff could not stop laughing but I was soooo excited I made something and it turned out good!
Wow this as turned out to be a long posting but the moral of my story is HELP!!! Calling all wife's I need help! Dont get me wrong I do see improvement but more help is always nice. How do you do it?

We are now a camping family

Camping is Fun!!! We went camping with Jeff's family a few weeks ago, and brought our friends Michelle and Nate (Yes we made new friends in our ward we are so excited!!!!) Kelsey and Ryan also came up with us. It was a fun / raning / bonding weekend. Pic #1: Michelle and I eating our grapes! Pic #2: Jeff and Nate were very close by the end of the trip.

WE GOT CARPET!!!!!!

We finally found carpet!!! There was a posting on our ward newsletter from a lady who is moving out of the ward and giving away her carpet, so I called her right away and she told me that they hadn't gotten any calls on the carpet so they had thrown it in the dumpster. Without a second thought I asked what dumpster ha ha. She told me where and I went and found it. Boy did I feel like white trash digging in the trash to get the carpet out. I called Reggie and he came out to help me bring it to our house. When we got back to the carpet there was a lady (who looked like she would be digging in the trash, but who am I to judge!) she was getting a book case someone had thrown away. I then asked her if she was taking the carpet she said she was thinking about it. I said well I called the lady who through it out and she said I could have it. HA HA I'm fighting for carpet!!! Anyways the trash lady was very nice and ended up letter us use her truck to bring the carpet to our house. So after a long 8 hours of Jeff putting carpet in the family room and bedroom, our house is now one step closer to looking like a real home!!! Thanks Jeff!!!!!

First Day of School

Jeff's first day of school!! So its not his first day of 1st grade or anything but look how cute he is. HA HA He does so much, work school then work agian, I have the best husband ever!!!

Our New Home

This is our humble little home! Concrete walls, lead infected dirt and no carpet what more could we ask for. :) Really though we are so thankful to have a cheap little house to live in while Jeff finishes school.
