Tabeitha has been sucking her thumb from birth and this wouldn't be too bad if she didn't pick her nose at the same time (thumb in mouth and index finger up one nostril). She discovered this method as an infant. After many attempts to get her to stop I realized that I was dealing with a very stubborn child and if she was going to stop it was going to have to; first: be her decision and second: I was going to have to be patient for just the right moment.
That moment came! A few weeks ago I showed Tabeitha a photo of my Grandpa, he is missing one of his fingers. I told her that he sucked his finger off. Yes I know I lied. She asked me how it happened and I told her first it would go black from all the sucking and than fall off..... it would die. Last Monday we spent the day in Park City with my family. My mom bough her a snow cone that was rainbow as it melted it became a greenish black colour. Just after we left she fell asleep sucking her thumb in the car. We drove to Jeff's mom and dads for dinner. Just before dinner I made Tabeitha wash her hands. I hear her screaming bloody murder from the bathroom. Her thumb was BLACK!!!!(from the snow cone) The biggest crocodile tears came streaming down her sweet face. Neither Jeff or I could tell her the truth. We saw the opportunity and took it! She knew if she didn't stop sucking her thumb immediately it was going to fall off!! With her voice shaking she asked me "How can I stop?" a sincere plea from a true thumb sucking addict.
Well, It has been a week and she has not sucked her thumb!!!!! A few times she has asked me to look at her thumb and see if it is okay. She has even taken to putting socks on her hands at night so she doesn't accidentally suck her thumb. I discovered this plan of hers after tucking her in one night and noticed socks on her hands. I just hope some day she can look back and laugh at it and forgive me.

3oh!!
So in May I had my 30th birthday!! It was kinda a big deal to me. I have no problem with being older I just don't like the idea of acting older. Not that I want to be immature its just that in your 20's you can do whatever you want. Freedom. That's it, my 20's represented freedom to me (even with half of my 20's married and with at lest one kid). Now we have a house and Jeff 
has his career it just feels very settled. I may be shy but I do have a free spirit. Anyways, I told Jeff not to do anything for my b-day just dinner with him. So that night I sat on the couch waiting for my mother-in-law to come over to baby-sit the girls so we could go out. ding dong. I was in shock when She was not at the door but my brother and his family and my sister and her kids!! when they came in I was thinking "what are you doing here?" It wasn't until after I turned around and saw Jeff dressed up like some kind of punk that I realized It was a surprise party. I was completely surprised! eventually everyone showed up. Every time the door bell rang I was surprised. 
The theme was European rocker
(because Jeff gave me U2 tickets, yes the U2 concert that was postponed until next summer!) Some people got into the spirit more than others but Jeff had sunglasses for everyone.
It was so much fun!!! It was way better than some lame dinner alone. I have the best hubby and family. I am so lucky and loved. Thanks everyone!

Has it been eight months?!
Well well, it has been just over 8 months! What has the Uberti family been up to you ask...? Both Tabeitha and Olive have had birthdays and so has Jeff. Life has been just about as normal as you can get except the last few months. We have spent most of our time looking for a house. and last month we closed on one!! We moved to Lehi, UT!! And if you know me, that is a far reach for me. I can't believe I don't live in Salt Lake County any more. When I think of Utah County I usually think of the Twilight Zone. But we have a really good feeling about this neighborhood. It is going to be a great home to raise our family. I don't have very many photos, I'll have to post those later, but what I do have are some photos of the girls rooms that I painted. Olive's room has painted birds and trees and one little caterpillar. 
I made it real fun for her. 
Tabeitha's room is a little more grown up. its a Tiffany's blue. I'm not done decorating it yet but it will have a large (5x5) poster of the Eiffel Tower on one wall. She loves Paris. Some rooms will be empty for awhile. The house is much bigger than what we have had in the past. We can't wait to have family and friends over. 
We also just got back from a trip to San Diego. 
Jeff's parents took us to go see Jeff's Grandma who lives in Palm Springs. Jeff and I both served our missions in the San Diego area. It was so nice to be back. The girls had fun with Grandma and Grandpa, and also uncle Jentry. Sea World was a blast, and nice and hot!! 
We also took the girls to see the temple. It was so nice to get away. It was hard to get on the plane back to Utah. 
I made it real fun for her.

So now what are you going to do?
We have been home from Germany for just over a month now and are just now getting settled in. Let me tell ya'all what we did the last 6 weeks in Europe. after London we started to panic because we had so much to see and do and not much time left. We went to Munster Germany= the bike capitol of Germany and where some distant relatives live.
We loved it there. Such a beautiful city. Next we went to Garmisch Germany= their is a military resort there that we stayed at. it was very nice. We hiked around the Alps and visited the Neuschwanstein castle.. AMAZING!! It is the mother of all castles.
The finale trip was a flight to Milan then a 4 hour car drive up the coast to Menton France (the French Rivera). The whole purpose for going was to go to Monaco to see the starting stage of the Tour de France!!
Jeff was in heaven!! We made a real effort to sight see around the region where we lived. It was a little bit challenging traveling because I had a "Sunday" calling, but we some how found time to fit it all in. We were so sad to leave. We met so many great people and we'll miss them. Our ward was great. The sisters in the ward were so kind, they drove me and the girls to play dates and activities during the week. Tabeitha also made some good friends that she still misses. It was a weird feeling coming "home" and feeling like we were leaving home and friends. Germany was such a great experience for our family. We are so glad we did it even though we had no idea what we were getting into. It has been nice to spend time with family and friends since we have been back. But everyone keeps asking us "so now what?" The truth is ... we don't know. Life's great adventures and growing experiences happen in the times of "unknown". But for all you grandmas out there, don't worry, we aren't flying off to some distant land any time soon.

London town
For my birthday we went to London! I did a study abroad there about 8 years ago and ever since then it has been my favorite place. I was so excited to share this awesome city with Jeff and the Girls. I thought I would give you the 10 high lights (and some low lights) from our adventures. 
The LONDON Ten:
1. Hold that plane! After only 4 hours of sleep we got up very early Saturday morning to catch our flight. We knew the general location of the airport but this did not prove to be enough. We got lost and missed our flight!!! (just barely of course) after a “little” fee, Ryanair changed our flight. Just a few hours later we made it to London totally exhausted!
2. In the lap of luxury! We stayed at the Royal Lancaster Hotel. We were on the 17th floor and had an amazing view of Hyde Park. Every thing was so fancy! It’s nice to pamper yourself sometimes.
3. Double Decker bus. After a short nap we headed out to see some sights. I thought it would be fun to take one of the red double decker buses. It was anything but fun. We were trapped between some routy teens and some Middle Eastern woman and there children. The British teens were being very rude and verbally threting the ladies. One mom called the police. F-bombs flying everywhere!!! Those boys needed there mouths washed out with soap. It was very intense. I was so happy to get off that ride safely with my kids. That was the last bus ride of the trip.
4. YUM. One of my favorite London treats is a soft ice cream cone with a flake (flake= a Cadbury chocolate stick that is flakey). We enjoyed one of these while we sat in the shade of the London Eye on the River Thames. Olive had her own and she took full advantage of a hand full of ice cream! Walking up and down the river can be lots of fun. there are some crazy cats in London.
5.Wagamama. Another one of my favorites. I have been telling Jeffrey about this restaurant for years. If you ever make it to London you must try this delicious noodle bar.
6. Off with her head! Day two started at the Tower of London. It was so hot and too crowded. We really didn’t get to enjoy it. Not to mention the girls were totally exhausted from the day before. But we did learn some cool history.
7. Captain Jeffrey. Sunday afternoon we relaxed at Hyde Park. In the park there is a large lake called the Serpentine. We took a peddle boat out on the lake. I tried to prevent the girls from going over board and Jeff was captain.
8. Mind the Gap. We used the underground for all of our getting around. It really is easy and fun to use. The only bad thing is caring the stroller up and down the steps. Another thing about using public transportation is you walk a lot. Which a good walk is needed after eating English food.
9. Do not feed the pigeons. The last time I was in London I had fond memories of feeding the pigeons in Trafalgar Square. The girls love to chase birds around and I thought this would be the high light of the trip for them. First thing I noticed as soon as we entered the square… NO PIGEONS!! Because pigeons are annoying birds they now have signs up that say, “Do not feed the pigeons!” and police men walking around. Instead of hundreds of birds to chase, the girls found only one sad, lonely, hungry pigeon to bug.
10. MY BIRTHDAY!! So I am now 29 years old!!! I couldn’t have asked for a better birthday. We saw my old flat and visited Buckingham Palace. Then we met up with one of my old mission companions who is living in England with her husband. It was great to hang out with her. We had a yummy lunch, went shopping (thank you Jeff for the London Birthday Shopping Spree), and visited Kensington Palace/Gardens.
We had so much fun in London. The trip was too short. I wish I had a week to show Jeffrey and the Girls around the city. That being said, we are totally exhausted and could all use a massage followed by a long nap.

Animagique!!
Right now I am looking out on one of the most beautiful views. I am sitting on my porch slash gravel road in front of my cabin. I see green rolling hills, soft blue sky, tall pine trees, children playing. I can also hear a dozen birds singing. It is such a beautiful day in Eisenschmitt, Germany. I just wanted to fill you all in on what we have been up to. Last weekend we drove to Disneyland Paris! Who knew, Mickey Mouse can speak French.! We had a blast. At first we were not going to stay at a Disneyland hotel but things just worked out and we stayed at hotel Santa Fe at the Disneyland Paris resort. It was so close to everything. It was everything you’d expect at a Disney park with a twist of Paris! (that means smoking and trash lying around) But don’t get the wrong idea about Disneyland Paris, it is just as magical and wonderful as anything Disney. The first ride of the day was of course the Tea Cups!
I don’t know why but I love’em. They had this really fun attraction, it was an Alis in Wonderland Maze. I really thought it was cool. After the first 3 minuets of wandering around the maze Tabeitha started to freak out!! She got so scarred! Behind some of the hedges the Queen of Hearts would pop out. She did not like that!! Even though we had the girls, Jeff and myself got to go on quite a few rides. We totally took advantage of the fast pass and baby switch. It felt a bit like the twilight zone on some rides. For example….. On Pirates of the Caribbean all the pirates were singing the “Pirates life for me“ song in French. And lets just say that the French speaking ghost in the Haunted Mansion were not that scary. We had dinner at Mickey’s café. What a blast. The girls got to meet so many of the Disney characters. On day two we went to the Disney Studio Park. it was nice to sit and watch some cool shows after a whole day of walking around. Our favorite show was Animagique. It was so fun to experience Disneyland through the eyes of the Girls. We feel so blessed to be here and have this experience. Before you know it we will be home. We hope you all have a wonderful Easter. We miss you guys.

The Girls
Okay, my Mom has been asking for pictures of The Girls. I get the feeling that they are missed more than Jeff and myself, I don't know why. We can be adorable too you know!! Well, I don't like to disappoint so here they are by popular demand.
