On Saturday we took taylor to Build-a-Bear Workshop for her birthday.

1st she picked out a bear...

{had to put it in the stroller of course...this was her favorite thing
the whole time and was a little distracted throughout the process}


...then she helped stuff the bear...



...gave it a heart...



...and a bath...



...then she picked out an outfit...

{with "silver shoes" that match her own}


...and then made a birth certificate...



...and carried it home in a box!

today you turned 2. two! i can't believe it. i have loved being your mom. you already have a spunky personality and attitude. sometimes you can be a little diva but you are still a sweet, funny little girl. you are really starting to grow up. i am amazed at how fast you learn things and what random things you remember. you are such a talker and sometimes go the whole day talking, talking. you love to sing(ABC's are your favorite right now), and read books.

you are my little shadow and best friend(this make dad jealous sometimes:), and you want to do everything that i do. you practice by playing with your babies, pushing them around in the stroller, putting them in the swing, changing their diapers and cuddling with them. you are easy to please but at times get very emotional about what you want.

you are one funny girl. you make me laugh all the time with your funny sayings, hyper moments, and imagination. you love shoes and dresses. you are a good big sister, when you're not trying to maul ryan. when ryan is older i know you will be great at playing with him.

your dad and i can't get enough of you and love watching what you will come up with next. we love you, tay!

when the P* family comes to town

those of you who know my sister, brit, know that every outing, family vacation, and visits are planned full of things to do. I'm just glad someone wants to do it. I would do it, but not enough in advance for my sister's liking:). Last thursday we went to the zoo for jack {taylor's cousin} birthday. The zoo is always a good time. It was especially fun because they were debuting the baby elephant. I have to say it really was the cutest thing to see.

cycling

eric has rediscovered an old hobby, cycling.
when we first got married, eric bought a road bike
and would bike through the provo canyon all the time.
when we moved to draper, he had a hard time finding
the time to bike, and ended up selling it.

fast forward 7 years and he now owns,
a mountain bike, and a road bike.
...and the spandex to go with it...
living in park city has spoiled us and
eric has endless possibilities when it comes
to trails and places to ride.

we plan on getting a bike trailer
so he can start taking the kids with him
looks like it will be next summer since,
since the season is coming to an end.

i am glad eric found this old hobby.
when he finds something he likes,
he really does it well and becomes
really dedicated to it.

this weekend we head to jackson hole for the LOTOJA.
my brother in law is racing in it
and we have made it a little family vacation.
maybe next year, eric will do it too.

ryan's blessing

last sunday we blessed ryan. eric did a great job and we were glad to have family there. we missed some and would have loved to have them. ryan was a champ and made it through no problem. now if we could just get him to make it through the nights...:).
