Sims' 1st Birthday!

Sims Booker Prewett turned ONE on January 4, 2013, and we celebrated that night in a "Winter ONEderland" with family and close friends! I have not mentioned that we moved a little over a month ago! We are finally homeowners again, and it feels awesome! The kids love our new house! This was our first big event in our new house so it gave us an excuse to get some things done! We still have a long way to go, but we are getting there!

Sims' gift from Lollie and Poppy...an outdoor table! This will be put to good use once spring rolls around!

Silly boy and the best nanny in the world, Ali! We are going to miss her in a few weeks when she moves to Jackson Hole!

Sims had a few friends at his party, and they had the best time playing in the plate drawer. This went on for quite a while, and it was so cute!

Our good friends Catherine and Gates were sweet to come celebrate with Sims! They are just about 5 weeks apart.

Ali again with her babies. They absolutely love their Ali, and I think the feeling is quite mutual for her. She has been an awesome part of our lives over the past several months and will be greatly missed.

End of the party, and we were pooped! Our little buddy had a great time!

It is hard to believe that an entire year has gone by since this sweet, angelic little guy was born. Sims has brought so much joy into our home, and we simply cannot get enough of him! He can say "bye bye," "night night," "hi," "yuck," and "ma ma" of course! He picks up on things quicker than I ever remember Ellie and Greer doing. He loves to watch and mimic whatever you are doing. He is clapping, waving, and just started blowing kisses which melts my heart! Other than following me around and wanting to be held a lot by me and only me, he is the easiest little baby and very content which makes life easier when you have 3 children age 4 and under! We went for his 1 year check up last week, and these were his stats:
Weight - 24 lbs 14 oz - 75%
Height - 31.5" - 90%

He is a big boy, bigger than Greer at this age so some of the hand-me-downs are not working so well. Just an excuse for Mama to buy more clothes!

Christmas 2012

I know I am super late with this post, but I guess it's better late than never, right?

We started the Christmas festivities off with a family party at the Moores Mill Club. The kids got to see Aubie, decorate cookies, and run wild on the putting greens! I actually think that was their favorite part!

The next weekend it was time to see Santa! On our way in to see him we ran into some sweet friends, Prather and Anne Reynolds...

Greer did awesome this year and was all about making sure Santa knew he wanted a train table!!

Poor Sims was terrified!

Rudolph noses were a hit!

Next up, Ellie's Christmas program at school! She is sitting on the 2nd row of chairs, 3rd to the left...

She did great and sang about 10 Christmas songs!

After her program we headed to her classroom to collect all of her Christmas art she had been working so hard on...

Josh and She She came to see her!

The next weekend included a trip to Anniston to have Christmas with Lollie's side of the family. Here is GG Mama (my grandmother) with all of her great grandchildren...

Then it was time for the real deal! We did Christmas with my family at the lake this year. Poppy and Thomas found this awesome tree in the woods, and Ellie and Greer helped make some ornaments for it...

Ellie was so proud of her My Little Pony castle that Lollie and Poppy gave her...

And Greer loved his tractor and trailer!

Sims was quite fond of it as well!

And when we got back home they had a special surprise waiting on them from Lollie and Poppy...

a TRAMPOLINE! They were so excited and absolutely LOVE it!!!!!

Then it was time to hit the bed and wait for Santa Claus to come. He came to see Sims...

stuffed some stockings...

brought Greer a train table and lots of other goodies...

and came to se Ellie!

He played with this thing for hours on end!

Santa made sure to leave a note on the train table letting everyone know it is really for Greer and Sims...

Sims was loving all of it!

We had fun having Poppy and Lollie here with us Christmas morning. Here is Poppy and his mini me...by this point mini me had gotten into a few candy canes and spilled Lollie's coffee all over his pj pants...

Christmas day afternoon we headed to Rusty's grandmother's (where I failed to take any pics), and then the day after Christmas we headed to Rusty's dad's house!

The kids loved taking a ride on his golf cart!

Greer was super excited about his new bike Pa Pa gave him. He is amazing on this thing...flies all around the neighborhood, holding his feet up and balancing all by himself.

Pa Pa and his babies...(too bad Sims peed all over his matching heli outfit and Ellie had an accident in her first, cuter outfit)...just glad to have a pic!

Ellie wanted to take one too...I think she did pretty well...

That pretty much sums up our Christmas. We had a really good one this year and truly enjoyed watching the kids so excited. We are soaking it all in while they are still little!
