It's Beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

We're Back!

So I hope that I am not fired! It has been way too long since our last post. We are finally in our new home and slowly getting settled. We have been very busy over the last few months with moving and getting ready for the holidays. I am so excited to get to experience the holidays through Kathryn Ross' eyes, it puts a definate meaning to the season. Kathryn Ross is now crawling everywhere and pulling up on everything. We are finding new objects that need baby proofing every minute. She is so curious and is into exploring her new territory. She is teething so some nights are very long. For the most part she is just a happy baby! She is now saying mama and dada and is waving bye bye. Seth says that she has said bye bye but I have not heard it. Kathryn Ross had her 9 month check up last week and she weighs 19.5 lbs and is 29 inches long. She is a tall baby. She now hates to have her diaper changed or her clothes changed because she does not like to be still. Kathryn Ross loves her bath time and will pull up at the tub if we are playing up in her room and start grunting for me to give her a bath. I promise I will be better about posting because our little girl is growing and changing by the second and Seth and I are just hanging on and enjoying the precious ride!!

The Pumpkin Patch

This past weekend we took Kathryn Ross to the Pumpkin Patch. She had a great time and loved looking at all the pumpkins and animals. She even got close to the sheep and geese that they had in the small petting zoo. We had a wonderful family day creating a new family traditon. As Mimi would say we had the cutest pumpkin out there!!!

A Cold Day on the Plains and Milestones!

We spent the weekend at the Auburn Game this weekend. We were all bundled up and poor Kathryn Ross could barely move her arms. But I am proud to say that she was warm and cozy and she tried to cheer on the Tigers!! She also got to go on her first ride on the Skooler with Shookie. Kathryn Ross has had a big weekend, she became mobile. She is now crawling, there is a video below. She has such a big smile on her face when she is crawling, I think that she is proud of herself. Mommy and Daddy sure are. Kathryn Ross is such an angel and a trooper. We are currently in between homes and she just goes with the flow. She continues to sleep 10-12 hours a night, takes 2 good naps during the day and loves her meal time!! She also is intrigued with the cats at Mimi's house, she loves to watch them scatter around. Dogs on the other hand she loves but she tries to run them over with her Super Coup walker, video below!!

7 months

Kathryn Ross is 7 months old- well almost 8 months so I am running a little behind. She now weighs 17 lbs. She is getting so big and learning new tricks. She loves to get on her hands and knees and rock back and forth. I feel that she will be crawling very soon. She is also trying really hard to pull up. It won't be long until she is on the move. We are now officially moved out of our house and living with Seth's parents until we close on our new house. Kathryn Ross loves scooting around the house in her super coup (walker), video to come. We are just enjoying every minute with Kathryn Ross and are amazed how she changes every day! We went to the Taste Of Newnan last week with Ila and Kathryn Ross. It was so much fun!!!

Kathryn Ross has a new found past time in her exersaucer. We are going to call it the exer destroyer. It is now sad for me to look at her in our old house. We look forward to many new memories to come in the new house!!! Check out the video.

Little Auburn Fan and Labor Day!

We took Kathryn Ross to her first Auburn Game. She was dressed and ready to cheer on the Auburn Tigers!

After the game we went back to Lake Wedowee. It is sad that it was the last weekend of the summer at the lake. Kathryn Ross had a blast sitting on the back of the boat.

We had a little accident in the swim diaper. They don't really contain her tinkle. I wish I would have know that before. She got soaked and we had to let her air out. And while she aired out why not drive the boat with Mimi!!! She had the best seat on the boat.

We had a great time taking Kathryn Ross to experience her first Auburn Game and taking her to the place where Seth and I first met. She was so good during the game. She loved watching the band before the game, so much so that by the first play she was asleep in my lap. Seth and I look forward to taking her to many more games.

Half a year old!

Kathryn Ross is officially 6 months old. I can't believe it! Wow how the time flies. At her check up she weighs in at 16 lbs 10 oz. She is in the 70th percentile for height and 50th for the size of her head. Perfect if I must say!! Kathryn Ross has offically mastered the skill of sitting up. She has been sitting up since she was 5 1/2 months old but now she is a pro. She is able to reach and grab toys that she wants to play with. We also have had another big milestone. She stayed with a babysitter for the first time this past weekend so that Seth and I could go to an 80s birthday party. Vanessa from her school kept her and Kathryn Ross was a complete angel for her which I am glad for so that she will want to play with Kathryn Ross again:)

I will go ahead and make it public. Seth and I have officially sold our house. The best part is that it wasn't even on the market. We are so thankful for this with today's market. The only stressful part is that we currently have no place to go. Oh and the other part about having to be out by Oct. 4th. Yikes!!!!! More to come on this situation....

I walked into the living room and saw my 2 favorite people snoozing away. How sweet, I couldn't resist!!!

Beach Fun!

We took a spur of the moment beach trip at the beginning of this month. We decided to do family pictures on the beach. Kathryn Ross was such a trooper even though I was in her face with a camera for an hour. I am really excited because we got some really good pictures maybe even Christmas Card material:) We had a blast. Kathryn Ross loved the sand this trip and she was entertained by the waves hitting her legs. She is also a little traveler. Seth and I were worried how she would do during the drive, but she was perfect. She slept most of the way and then entertained herself in her carseat the rest of the time. We are so blessed! We can't wait to take her back!!!

Our little angel is 5 months old. Times flies when you are watching a little miracle grow everyday. Kathryn Ross is getting more generous with her laughs so hopefully I will be able to post a video soon. She loves to to smile all the time and she is responding to familiar voices. Seth says that it is priceless to watch her face as I talk to her over speaker phone, she just looks around to try to find me. She is rolling everywhere. Her new favorite sleep position is on her left side. We had to take the positioner out of her crib because she wiggles and moves all over her crib. One night we found her in the top corner of her crib on her side with her arm over the bumper pad. How did she get there?? Her personality is contagious. She is so happy and so laid back. How did I ever get so blessed? She can sit up for brief periods of time. But she is just so busy in reaching for toys or the dog that she quickly loses her balance. She loves to watch Cooper and she loves for Cooper to give her kisses. Kathryn Ross will entertain herself in the exersaucer and whenever she makes it light up or play music she looks at us like yeah I did it , did you see me!!! Kathryn Ross also loves to go to Gigi and Randads and Mimi and Shookie's to swim in the lake and pool to show us how she already has a love for the water. She sits in her float and kicks her legs as fast as she can. At this age she is changing and growing so fast. Seth and I look forward to each new day to explore life with Kathryn Ross. She brings a whole new meaning to our lives and we are so thankful everyday for our blessings.

Kathryn Ross was baptized on July 19th. It was a very special day for Kathryn Ross and our family. She was so perfect, she was smiling and did not even make a sound when the water was placed on her head. We are so blessed that so many of our family and friends were able to join us for such a meaningful time. After church we had everyone over for lunch to continue the celebration. We just had two huge oak trees cut down in our backyard so we were also able to debut our hard work with our newly landscaped backyard. We hope that everyone had a wonderful time and we thank you for being part of such a special day as Kathryn Ross begins her journey as a christian.

We spent the Fourth at the Lake with Seth's family. We had a blast and so did Kathryn Ross. She enjoyed spending time with her cousins as we celebrated. The family also entered a boat decorating contest which we won second place thanks to Uncle Sam and Lady Liberty. In the world of Kathryn Ross, she is now rolling over and loves her new trick. She also has had her first bites of rice cereal with bananas which she really likes but can't figure our how to use her tongue to keep most of the food in her mouth versus pushing it out.
