2 Meet the Teachers & 2 First Days of School & 2 cakes

My baby boy started Pre-K! (sniff sniff). We had 2 meet the teachers, 2 first days of school & 2 cakes! I make a cake for when they come home from school. (Not sure how I'll do that next year when they start on the same day.) They also get to have their favorite meal that night & eat off of the "You Are Special" plate.

I can't believe Reese is in 1st grade. She is getting so big so fast! They all are! I wish I had a remote control for them so I could pause time! :) Reese still loves school and surprisingly enough...my shy little boy also loves school. He could not stop talking the first few WEEKS of school. He is making so many friends and doing well with writing, reading, etc. Can't believe I have 2 babies in school! So proud of them both!

Movies in Momma's Bed/Art Camp

We watched lots of movies & ate popcorn in mommy's bed! Our most favorite thing to do!!! :) Reese went to art camp for a week and.....W-O-W!!!! She did such an awesome job!

CHEER CAMP W/ LOU LOU!

Reese is lucky enough to have a cousin on the McKinney High School cheerleading squad!! This summer she went to a cheer camp they had at the high school for a few days! She was in heaven. THANK YOU LOU LOU!!!

Summer Fun

We started out our summer by taking the big kids to the ballpark in Frisco to watch Shrek from the field. THEY WERE ON CLOUD NINE!!! I don't think they even watched the movie. They were having too much fun just running around on the field! We did lots of swimming and...well swimming. It was just too hot for anything else. Reese had a lemonade/brownie/water stand to raise some money for her American Doll. She made abut $20!!!! We had a great visit with one of our favorite families, the Brummers, who moved to Kentucky (sniff) but came to visit! We took a trip to Missouri over the 4th to visit some of Jamie's family & to hang out at the lake. We watched fireworks from the boat out on the lake & the big kids thought that was just awesome! Roo did a lot of sleeping with whoever would hold him. We made a trip to Oklahoma for the Watts Family Reunion. It was fun to visit with folks on the Maddock side! Reese & Hunter are kind of spoiled b/c they are the youngest of the kids and so...everyone pays a ton of attention to them! "Uncle Jimmy" REALLY hit it off w/ Reese & Hunter. Of course we had our family visit to Chick-fil-a for "dress like a cow" night! Y'all know me...I like to eat, I love to eat for free and I L-O-V-E Chick-fil-a!!! We tried to do as much family outside stuff that we could but...it was very hot! Thank goodness for the pool and the splash pads!!!

Last Day of School/Graduation

UNBELIEVEABLE!!!! She's done with Kindergarten. How is that possible!?!?!? People tell you when you first have your children that "it goes by so quickly." WHAT AN UNDERSTATEMENT! My sweet little baby who screamed her head off the second she came out has turned into this gorgeous, grown up little girl and I can barely remember when it all happened! She has become this smart, almost brilliant little girl. She is so full of life & always has been; loves to sing & dance; reads ALL THE TIME; full of surprises; and still as stubborn as she was BEFORE she was born! :) I have to admit...I didn't have a hard time dropping her off the 1st day of school but...I did have a hard time watching her finish. Made it final somehow. I guess like any day I would "wake up" & she would be 3 again. I am very proud of her!

Reese's Dance Recital

Reese had her first dance recital! GORGEOUS AS EVER!!! She had a ballet routine and a tap routine. She did such a great job! I couldn't have been prouder of all that she learned!

MY BIG BOY

One day this spring we were outside with our neighbors playing. Reese and the boys next door were riding their bikes and Hunter asked (again) for a big boy bike. Our neighbor heard us telling him that we would get him one soon. (We were thinking of his birthday.) After hearing us say that our neighbor told us..."I have an old little bike! Needs training wheels though." YEA!!! Hunter was so ecstatic!!! You would have thought it was a brand new bike. He went on and on about the color, etc. I was so proud...not because he was getting bigger & ready for a bike but b/c he was so GRATEFUL and APPRECIATIVE of the "gift" he was given!!!! I PRAY that he will never lose that.
