Happy 4th Anniversary!!!

Today is our 4th anniversary. I can't believe it has been that long. The time has flown by. We have had an exciting 4th year together. I am so glad I got to experience Chile with Justin and learn more about the people and experiences during his mission. I know his mission means a lot to him and it means a lot to me that I got to share it with him. It has been so exciting starting the MBA program with Justin. He works so hard at school and at church. Even though he is so busy with everything he still finds plenty of time to spend with us when he comes home. The most exciting thing that happened this year is Emme! Justin is such a good Daddy. Emme loves Justin so much. She lights up when he comes home and any time he is around. I couldn't ask for a better husband and father to Emmeline. Justin makes me laugh every day. I can't wait for more laughs and exciting years ahead. I Love You Justin!!! :)

Ward Christmas Party

We had our ward Christmas party last night. The theme was "A Night in Bethlehem." Everyone had to dress up in biblical attire. We even found something for Emme to wear (she was so cute!)

Each family was given a bag of coins and we were all taxed as we came into the "market" (the gym). If you didn't pay your taxes you were put in the stocks. I think it's time Justin and I have a little talk with Emme about a little thing called tax evasion.

Once we were in the market we could go around to different vendors and buy our dinner with the coins we had. We all ate our dinner on the ground on blankets while we enjoyed a live nativity story. We had a lot of fun. We have a great ward and are grateful to be a part of it. I'm so grateful for this time of the year that we have to celebrate the birth of our Savior.

Chicken Noodle Soup

I made chicken noodle soup for the first time ever this week. I think it turned out good, but you will have to ask Justin to find out for sure. I had to take a picture of my big achievement of the week.

7 Months

Work It Out!

I promise this is the last post of the day. Emmeline is growing up so fast. She scoots in circles, scoots backwards and rolls all over our living room now. She has also started pushing back and rocking on her knees. The funniest thing she does now is stand on her hands and feet with her butt in the air. She is going to be crawling around before we know it! One thing I am excited about is that she can actually use the cute leggings we got from her baby shower now! Here are her cute leggings and Emme workin' it out!

Thanksgiving

Justin, Emmeline and I spent Thanksgiving up in Kaysville this year. This was the first time in the almost 4 years we have been married that we spend Thanksgiving with Justin's family. We got to spend most of the week up in Kaysville with Justin's family. We had so much fun with everyone! We especially had fun at the Sam's Club food court when we spilled 2 full cups of soda all over our table and floor within 5 minutes of each other. Everyone thought we were nuts!
Thanksgiving day was great too. We went down to Justin's aunt Marilyn's house and had dinner with most of the extended family that was in the area. The food was great and the company was even better! Here are a couple pictures...

It's A Hard Job Being A Baby

One day a couple weeks ago I was really busy running in and out of the house to do some errands. Emme was in her exersaucer in the morning while I finished getting ready in the bathroom. I went in the bedroom for a minute and then I realized Emme was TOO quiet. I came out and found her asleep face down on her toys. Later that day I was just about done getting dinner together for a sister who had a baby in our ward when Emme was just a little TOO quiet again. I turned around and found her asleep on her high chair. Poor Emme was so tired! She fell asleep in action twice in that one day and hasn't done it since. It must be rough being a baby!

6 Months

Emme is actually 7 months old today, but I wanted to post some pictures of her at 6 months. I need to be better about blogging! Her 6 month stats are... 25 1/2 inches long and 14 lbs 3 oz. She is such a small girl :) Emme is such a joy in our lives. She is growing up so fast! I will post some 7 month pictures of her sometime this week as well. Enjoy!

Halloween

Ok, I know this post is over a month late, but I had to post some pictures. I made Emme's costume. She went as Little Red Riding Hood. The pattern for her blessing dress came with a hooded cape pattern, so all I had to do was buy the fabric... it was great! Justin went as the woodsman who saved riding hood and I went as the grandma. I also made a little basket and put a "wolf" (which was really just a dog) in it. Emme was so cute! Here are a couple pictures.

Cash Budgets.... The Quickest Way to Put a Baby to Sleep

On Thursday Emme and I went to Justin's finance class with him. It was a good experience. I'm glad I got to see what Justin does during the day. The professor was a lot of fun. The class was interesting for me until we got to the end and started talking about real finance: cash budgets (the rest of the class was about personal finance). Justin was holding Emme at the point of the class. She was all awake and playing until the professor started talking about cash budgets. She feel asleep sitting up on Justin's lap. As soon as the class was over, she woke right up. For all those moms out there who have a hard time getting their young ones to sleep, try teaching them about cash budgets!!!

Blocks

The other day I was reading about how babies Emme's age like to knock over blocks and put things in and out of containers, etc. A combination of that information, feeling crafty, leftover material and fun craft blogs is what led me to make Emme some cloth blocks. They were fairly simple to make and Emme loves them! It's also fun to remember what I used the fabric for in the past. There is fabric from some curtains, a dress I made for myself, Emme's Halloween costume, Emme's blessing dress and a quilt I am making with the MBASA. I started out with 4" fabric squares and made 10 blocks total. They are not perfect, but I think they turned out alright. Here are some pictures.

Pumpkin Patch

Emme and I got to go to a pumpkin patch in Orem last Monday with the MBASA (the MBA spouse's association). We had a lot of fun. We got to see some animals take a walk through a corn maze and pick out some pumpkins. Emme really loved to see the animals, especially the bunnies. It was so exciting that she needed a serious nap afterwards. Here are a few pictures of our adventure...Trick or Treat!
