New Year

Although I tried this a few months ago, I really want to try with this new year to have my documentation be mainly for me and our family. Therefore, I think I would like to focus on posting here as opposed to Facebook. 

Today I worked for a few hours, and then we went for round 2 of The Greatest Showman. Such a great show! Saw some great people from our previous ward. Nice to visit with them. 

We made our turkey today as well. Took Christmas down. Mixed feelings about things being “back to normal”, but mostly good. 

Car Shopping Fun

Not my idea of fun! But I asked Chaz if it was fun in there. He said: “Yea, I really liked the test drive” 😂 Glad someone enjoys this! 😆

Plan Foiled.....But still had fun!

When the one bad weather day of fall break was the day you had all the fun planned! 👎 It was so cold. We still had a fun time beating the unseasonably cold weather at Wheeler Farm! 

Alexis, Parade Floats, and a Folder

 I am determined to do better at posting in my blog. I LOVE documenting my family life in this manner. I noticed that the last time I posted was about a month after I started my BSN program, and I am now finished with that. Not too surprising with some of the craziness going on that I was not able to stay faithful to it. Nevertheless, Here is the new determined me now. I have A LOT to share! :)
First and foremost: ADORABLE story from yesterday. Chaz was at church, and was asked what his full name is. For as long as we can remember, Chaz's response to this question is: "Chaz man the great super hero of the universe Joshua Keddington" It is perfectly adorable. BUT, since he is starting kindergarten this year, I figured we best teach him what to take out of that lengthy answer :/ Sad, but true!

 Next, I am currently serving in the nursery. K'Lynn ends up in there with me most weeks (secretly, it's the Goldfish she's really after. That adorable little barefoot boy in the picture, that's my little guy Tate (who this blog knows nothing about up to this point). I put this picture on Facebook yesterday, and labeled it #sundaylife Love the littles, there's a sweet precious spirit in nursery. Josh is currently YM President in our ward.

I have been teaching at Cyprus for the last couple of years. It has been an AMAZING experience. Now that I have gone back to the hospital, I still get the awesome opportunity to be the HOSA Advisor. Today, we got to go visit a girl in our school that has cancer. She has become familiar with playing the ukelele during her hospital stay, and it was so fun to surprise her with one today.

 Our stake had the opportunity to participate in the Days of 47 Parade by making a float this year. It is a super fun float, and it is also dedicated to Officer Doug Barney. We went to the Preview Party tonight. Chaz got his face painted, Tate got to ride in the stroller, and the girls got those yummy coated almonds, so I would call it a win for all! (I'll have to upload Chaz's cute face painting picture later)

Now this is a funny story. For some background information, I have recently finished teaching dance this past season. I KNOW,SO CRAZY RIGHT???? I am having a ginormous yard sale this weekend to attempt to clear my house of things that I no longer need as a result of being done with this career. Found something ironically funny tonight while preparing for the yard sale. This is my admit folder from when I had Chaz. When I was at the hospital, I was telling one of my nurses that I had done my capstone in Postpartum, and wanted a job in that area. She told me they may be hiring soon, and gave me her number written in this folder. I called once right after Chaz was born, and it turned out they were not hiring at the time. Right after that, I got my job with Intermountain, so I never thought much of it again. Right before I got my job at St Marks, I looked all over for this folder. I was quite determined, and decided I was going to call her again. Having never been able to track it down, I thought I threw it away when I moved. But, I found it tonight buried in a box in our basement. 

😊 I guess I no longer need this!

Just Today

So, I suppose it would be impossible to catch up where I left off.
I remember how much it used to bother me when people would stop blogging to be Facebook regulars, But here I am......Three years later, having been trapped in the Facebook web. Initially, I was going to deactivate my Facebook. But, for convenience reasons of uploading photos, I think I will stay on exclusively for a convenient place to upload pics from my phone.
Blogging feels like a place where who cares what anyone else is doing because no one really looks anymore. A bit old school, but so many great memories of our family here. I am not going to put any kind of pressure at all to catch up, yet I'm simply going to start with thoughts just for TODAY:
-My friend, Connie's Mom passed away this week. I think it's been harder on me than I expected. I have noticed that I deal with grief through anger. Not sure why, but instead of sad, I get so angry over other situations not related to the situation. It was good to go to her graveside service yesterday.
-Our little Tate is all sorts of adorable. I can't download any pics with this post because I'm at work. Anyhow, His latest is him walking around saying: "No touchy". Ha ha....He's definitely comic relief we all need. His blond little curls make me swoon.
-My sweet little Chaz. He's always good for a hug, an obedient "Yes Mommy" or a laugh. On Thursday, we were eating at a restaurant  that had fun little machines that Chaz thought he needed something out of. In order to get coins for the transaction, Kandace requested that he asked if I care if they go out to get her wallet. As he asked me, I said "Yes I do care". With a casual look on his face, he walked over to Kandace, and simply asked: "Kandace, what is Do Care?" Ha ha.....Knowing he would possibly still try to follow her out to the car, I said: "Chaz, you need to come with me", and I escorted him into the bathroom with me. After a few seconds of silence, Chaz curiously (and LOUDLY) asked: "Mom, what is prison?" (where does this child come up with such things? I am used to his off the wall inquiries, but I was immediately worried what the person next to us was thinking. No sooner had I completed my thought than I hear amused laughter from the stall next to us. She asked me: "How old is he, 4 or 5?" yup, no filter for kids in that age range. Her and I had a good laugh. Chaz left the restroom wondering what prison was.
-K'Lynn is spending her second summer working at Josh's work. It's a great place that provides really good experience for her. She has recently found out that they are going to give her an opportunity to have a flexible job through the school year, so that will be spectacular!
-For the first summer since Chaz has been born, Kandace is not doing EYT this year. She wanted to go to Girl's camp, and when I wouldn't guarantee the exactness of how I could get her back and forth exactly the way she wanted, it was a no go! She got a 4.0 on her report card, and is super intelligent and fun!
-Josh is working on his Master's Degree. Life is SO CRAZY right now! Never ending and always changing.
-I am working at Sutter Physician Services PRN as a Hospice Triage Nurse and Part time at St. Mark's hospital in Postpartum/Well Baby Nursery (My DREAM Job)! Holy Cow! I am just finishing training, and it is hard, but I LOVE it, and I love bonding with the patients and their families.
I am making a promise to myself to keep up my blog. There are so many great memories on here. I NEED to keep them up!
