Weight/Height: From her 2 month well checkup on September 10: she weighs 14.13 pounds (96th percentile), measures 23.5 inches (74th percentile) and has a big 'ol noggin like her brothers at 42 centimeters (96th percentile).
Eating: Oh 3rd baby, how silly were your parents to think we'd get you on a schedule. Life for you is on the go! We know that you're going to want to eat every 3 hours or so during the day, but overnight you're going longer stretches which is great! You usually only give us 1 true middle of the night wakeup usually around 2 to 3am. You're still eating 4 ounce bottles, but this month we tried a couple different formulas - Similac Advanced, Sensitive and Total Comfort. Daddy and I decided Similac Advanced is the best for you. Sometimes when you go a longer stretch between eating you will eat 5 or 6 ounces, but thats rare. With your 2 month checkup, momma encouraged getting you on Zantac. It wasn't just the spitting up, but the congestion and struggled feedings. Dr. B agreed and you're taking 1.4mL of Zantac twice a day now. It has helped you have easier feedings so yay! In month 2, things were a little off with our trip to VA and the Outer Banks as far as schedules and averages since momma and daddy weren't the only ones taking care of you (yay for Grandma B. & Auntie Karen!!), but you maintained eating around 25 to 26 ounces a day still so we can keep your weight up.
Sleeping: Month 2 just intensified your love of a swing nap. And we're all about keeping you happy, little miss. You're still sleeping a lot, but your newborn slumber is wearing off a bit during the day. Once big brother started preschool and we went on vacation morning naps are morning cat naps here and there, with a big long afternoon siesta. Which works great with your brothers' schedules so no complaints here! You usually nap in the carseat or the swing for daytime naps, but you're still sleeping swaddled up in the Nap Nanny for overnight. You've given us a few all nighters, but usually you're still waking up for a middle of night dreamfeed around 2-3am. You sleep best with some white noise, a pacifier and being swaddled up - until you're hungry and you want your hands to suck on, then you want out of the baby burrito. You averaged around 14 to 15 hours of sleep a day this month, with most of that happening in the afternoons and overnight. You definitely prefer to be asleep by 7:30 - 8pm and are waking up for the day around 7am with dreamfeeds overnight.
Diapers: While I really hoped T would be in cloth dipes, she isn't. Oops. She's still wearing Pamper's Swaddlers in Size 2. With a big basket of FuzziBunz just waiting to be sized correctly.
Clothes: Little Miss was able to spend her hot August days size 3-6 month clothes. Most days she was in just a onesie from Carter's or Target. Overnight her jammies are size 3-6 month Gerber white onesies under swaddle blankets. When she needed to dress up she was sporting Gymboree and Janie & Jack rompers. She was blessed that so many gifted her fabulous clothes! She did wear her first Eleanor Rose bubble out and about while on vacation in the Outer Banks and sported her Beaufort Bonnet as well. Momma also did some fall and winter shopping at the outlet picking up some size 9 month clothes that hopefully she'll grow into by the time it gets cooler come November and December.
Social Butterfly: T got to meet a lot of family and friends in her second month with our trip home to VA and vacation to the Outer Banks! She spent a week with Grandma and Grandpa B., got to meet Auntie Mackenzie, Great Grandma B., Bebe and my cousins with their little ones. She has continued to be a baby on the go with me between play dates, errands and just living life. She can usually be found in the Boba Wrap, but sometimes like at Sam's Club she hangs out in her bucket seat in the cart. She was finally left in the church nursery this month and did great on Sunday mornings, but not so great on Wednesday nights. She really wants to be asleep in her bed by 8pm, not out and about. A night owl, she is not! This month she had special outings to St. Joe's Picnic, Kentucky State Fair and of course our annual beach trip.
Playtime: As T wakes up a bit more, she still loves being in her swing, bouncer seat and on her playmat, but she still doesn't like tummy time. This month we brought out the Bumbo seat too and I got a little suction elephant to sit on the tray. She will stay in the Bumbo for 10 to 15 minutes before getting annoyed, but its been fun to have her sitting on the dinner table with all of us during dinner. She's made more eye contact with us, given us a glimpse of smiles, enjoys being held and cuddled and is very loved on by big brothers who constantly argue over whose bed she is going to lay on while we're getting ready in the mornings!
Milestones: In T's second month, she didn't have any big milestone, but tons of little ones. She had a lot of firsts like outings to St. Joe's Picnic and the Kentucky State Fair, she moved from a bucket seat to her convertible seat, had her first ride to VA lasting 8.5 hours (and then home again to KY), her first beach trip dipping her toes in the Atlantic Ocean and her bum in the sand, meeting family and friends and sending big brother C off to preschool. She was diagnosed with reflux and put on Zantac and we're still fighting her clogged tear ducts that can lead to nasty green goopy eyes sometimes. Month two was full of fun adventures for T and our little family of 5!
