The title of the song in this next video is so true. It seems like time has been flying by. I can't believe Matix will be 6 months and Saxon will be 3 this month. So "don't blink." Also, don't drink :)

UUUUmmm so yeah, we're actually staying in Washington for now. Are you starting to notice a pattern in our decision making? Yeah, me too. (did the same thing when we moved from Utah)
We're now planning on staying here at least until March. Chris will take a couple of classes online for now. I'm glad we're staying in this beautiful place for the time being!

2 seasons in 3 minutes

Wow, it has been so very long since I have blogged. So much has happened in the last 6 months. In May we moved from Provo to the Seattle area (Issaquah Highlands) and it is beautiful. We have loved it here and have met some great friends.
We had an addition to our little family! A very sweet, handsome boy named
Matix Ryan Fryer was born on June 28th.

I have made a 3-minute video montage to cover all the pictures and events that I need to catch up on for Spring and Summer. This will be 1 of 2 videos to catch up. The next one will be of Fall and Winter.

At the end of December we will be moving back to Utah and Chris will be finishing his last year at BYU and will be directing a film. We are sad to leave this amazing place, but are excited for the great Utah snow and of course, excited to see our wonderful families and friends!

last weekend Saxon and I were able to go to St. George with my mom and stepdad. It was a fun, 4 day trip! Unfortunately, I forgot my camera! But we had lots of fun going on hikes and hanging out with my mom and stepdad Russ, who we don't see too often cause they live in Price. Saxon really enjoyed getting to know them even better. They were so nice to take us out to EVERY meal while we were there and give Saxon and I our own hotel room! We jumped on the bed, ran around, and swam in the hotel hot tub!
We also got to hang out and hike with my friend Cora and her boyfriend, who live there.
What a nice little vacation. Thanks mom :)


what funny weather we've had lately. warm then cold, warm then cold.
well, the snow actually stuck for about a day this time! it was fun to get outside with saxon and enjoy it! i think he'll have to wait for summer to ride this a little smoother though..
we built maybe the last snowman of the year. it melted later that day.. but was a fun activity outside! saxon loves building snowmen. do you like his hat that sax made?he loved the snowman so much he gave him kisses! what a funny kid. :)
here he is brandishing his chin scab that he got at church the week before by running and tripping into a couch, ouch!after he got out of the bath he kept running away from me getting him dressed (this happens a lot). then he decided to do "naked yoga"-- I have the cutest pictures of him doing this, but decided i probably shouldn't post them! it was so funny though! he was doing real yoga poses all by himself! hehee. after i put his diaper on, he decided to dance instead.

some news and such

So.. if you haven't heard, we found out we are having another BOY! Which is funny, cause this pregnancy has been so different than with Saxon, so I thought for sure it'd be a girl. But I am so thrilled that Saxon will have a buddy to play with. We are so excited! He's been kicking a lot lately, and I feel pretty big! Definitely can't get away with normal clothes anymore!

Saxon seems to "get it" more now, and loves to look at the ultrasound pictures and talk to my belly and even give it lots of kisses. Cute huh! (now if only he wouldn't jump on and occasionally kick my belly)

speaking of pregancy, here's something that I've craved both last pregnancy and this time.. sushi! last time, I'd die to go out and get some, but this time, i've learned to make it! it kind of takes a while to prepare, but is so fresh and so good. of course, I don't eat any raw fish right now though. :) saxon loves playing with his cousin Bella. Sometimes we call them the twins cause they look so much alike and are the exact same size. Here they're having fun dancing.. I'm glad saxon has a good friend!little monkey! this is his Halloween costume that he loves to put on sometimes. He really is a little monkey! he loves to jump around and off of chairs, couches, furniture, etc. and he can even climb in and out of his crib now with ease... time for a toddler bed i think...

boys like to play dress up, too!

Playing dress-up is not just for girls.. Saxon loves it too! Sure, it's not old dresses, mom's heels and plastic pearls, but he sure gets creative in what he can find!

Paint Ballahunter../soccer player?and his favorite lately-- cool snowboarder! He totally wants to be a snowboarder, which makes me so happy cause I love it!he calls it "boboarding"this was after Chris and I got back from Sundance (which was sooo fun, for his birthday. i wish i took pictures.) and Saxon got so excited about our boards.
Sax also LOVES to draw and paint lately. He is our little artist! He draws on whatever he can find!
I finally unpacked the few boxes that I had packed when I still thought we were going to move. Saxon took the opportunity to express his artistic side.painting is his favorite...along with smiling for the camera! haha

stayin

I realize that even though we made this decision like a month or more ago, I haven't been very clear in expressing that we are staying in Provo... I'm kind of haphazard like that!
YES, we are staying in the beautiful PROVO UTAH for a while longer! I was excited to move to Seattle, but Chris hasn't finished school yet and we didn't know when he'd be going back, so we felt like it was the right decision to stay and finish his schooling.
We feel really good about it, and I think in the long run finishing school now will be a much wiser decision! He only has about a year left anyway (at least for his bachelors)
YAY for school! (haha)
I'm glad we'll have the baby here around family too. And... I kinda like it here. At least for a while longer...

On another note... I'M GETTING SPRING FEVER! Anyone else?

christmas break.. so nice!

this is kind of a long post.. but i need to catch up. and i'm not even putting our christmas day pictures!
Saxon's birthday was the day after Christmas, the 26th. I made another train cake as he requested, and had a small family party. I think he had fun and he liked his birthday presents a lot!this is the best part, of course! he mostly played with the cake rather than eat it, but that's alright!
St. George Trip
We were lucky enough to go to St. George over Christmas break. We stayed at Chris' grandma's house down there and enjoyed relaxing and hiking and such.
We went on a couple different hikes, and Saxon totally turned into this hardcore hiker on both of them! He seemed totally in his element as he independently climbed up steep rocks and hills and tunnels. He even kind of scared us because he was so confident on those steep cliffs! We all love to hike so we had a great time.made it to the top!I love my nice hiking shoes. I got them a couple years ago and they're still awesome! They are made with the same rubber as rock climbing shoes so they hold me up quite nicely on the rock :)
dixie narrows hike... see saxon?an awesome cloudy dayWe visited a few places in St. George as well, like the visitors center at the temple (which is actually pretty cool) and the art museum... well the outside at least :) here are the boys by the "St. George Dragon"Staying at Chris' grandma's is so nice! what a nice, cheap way to have a vacation. It was so wonderful to get away for a while. we had a great time swimming in the pool there too, and of course a small dip in the hot tub, floaties and all!

OH and one more thing.. I'm sure everyone knows by now, but just to officially post it on the blog.. I'M PREGNANT. 14 weeks now and feeling great!
